For lack of a better term.
Anyone else think the Mommy who Michael and Laurie keep seeing is more than just a shared hallucination? I say that “mommy” is the evil force, Thorn incarnate. She can’t just be a ghost, as Deborah Myers was still alive when the spirit(or whatever it is) started appearing to Michael. They go out of their way to mention the White Horse at the beginning of the film; it’s not really a stretch to think that she’s an extension of that.
deborah myers was dead when michael started seeing her little confused to your post though
if she was already dead then how did he tell her about it during her visit? i’m talking about the dream, which i assumed was the first time the vision appeared to him. He’s been seeing this apparition at least since then, why he tells Loomis so certainly “i’ll see her again.”
its kinda like he knew she was going to die
i think we all kinda make what we want or what makes most since to us out of a film.
but i personally dont acknowledge the “thorn” aspect of Halloween so im sure not going to imagine that being apart of a Halloween film i actually like.
i will just say it was a bad idea/writing to have Michael and Laurie both seeing visions of “ghost mom”.
i don’t love the idea of Thorn in the originals either(i just put it down to fanaticism and killer-worship), but for this one i think the concept works. there’s already some supernatural stuff going on in RZH2, so why not? It definitely fits better here than it does in the original series.
or maybe Ghost Mommy is a manifestation of Michael’s madness, rather than a cause, like Gollum/Smeagol in Lord of the Rings.
