My 78 rehaul w/ repaint & rehair (pic heavy)

So I picked up some spinning fiber from hobby lobby to tackle my first attempt at hairing a mask, grabbed some fiber (alpaca type fiber) that looked like brown myers hair mixed with the original blondish color so I thought it would be nice for the 78, once the mask was haired, I then misted it with some black spraypaint for a more screen accurate look and then combed the hair and excess loose hair out. Well…im SUPER happy with the results! I surprised myself with the outcome being ive never haired a mask before! I Also made the correct eye cuts on the mask, added the weathering and flesh tones I still need to style the hair “H1 style” but you get the idea. I Glued the hair on with tacky glue.

Great job! That paint job is very well done, that mask has so much potential when you start to bring the details out of it. Very cool man!

Looks great! :pumpkin:

Looking good! Out of curiosity, what are you using to hold the velcro in place? I’ve been meaning to look into this for awhile, specialized glues and the like.

That is some adhesive velcro, works great I just ordered strips off of amazon and cut off a small piece to stick on the inside and outside of the mask. Fits great with it since TOTS made this mask a little on the larger side.

Thanks, I’ve tried to adhere velcro in the past using their self adhesive ones, but they never held up.

No problem, Try industrial grade velcro it’ll work.

Looks awesome! Especially the hair, it looks sooo soft
