MY DON POST 1975 MR. SPOCK... NEW PICS P.2!!!

Hey everyone! Been so busy I have not had a chance to pop in here in a while. I just scored one of the biggest pieces in my collection and in my opinion, of all masks. This is an all original 1975 Don Post Mr. Spock mask. I just got this back from the master Dante Renta from being foam filled and him getting the hair to relax. This mask is in excellent condition and the closest I will ever get to a real 75 kirk, being this spock has of course the same latex, hair and similar paintup to a kirk. It is really surreal to see and feel the latex and hair and know this was the same as the kirk and the paintups are so similar. I have talked to quite a few owners of real 75 kirks and spocks and they have confirmed this as well. Really just a huge addition to my collection and I thought to take some pics with my NAG 2K Kirk (The closest thing to a real 75 Kirk IMO) and NAG 75K Supreme kirk as I Iove seeing those old vintage 75 dp spock and kirk shots. I also posted some pics with my all original 1982 Don Post Official H3 witch with tags, KH/DW #7 gold sig, KH/DW #21, and my NAG/AHG 75K. I also have some other monsters on the way! I also want to specially thank Chad Warlock for this insane opportunity to obtain this and Josh Sherriff Brackett as they are the best guys in this hobby and very good friends of mine who have helped me over the years!!! I love the eighth pic, perfect lighting to showcase the contours and textures of the masks.

I have one question I’ve always wanted to have answered, are the upper inside corners of the eye sockets near the nose painted in any way or is the shading all natural due to lighting?
I’ve circled the areas in this pic.

The shading is all natural due to the contour and lighting.

I’m so glad he went to a great home Matt! You know I absolutely did not want to let him go… but life gets in the way sometimes. Great call on getting him foam filled. He looks fantastic! Enjoy my friend. :drinkers:

Had some requests for some new pics so people could see the hair and paint ups for reference to kirks. It is crazy knowing this spock has the same latex and hair and the paintups to the kirks are sooo similar. Check out the brand new found kirk and see the spock and kirk and how close they are…also Darrens in the UK are so close as well…sooo neat. I am still in shock from acquiring a real authentic all original 1975 Don Post Mr. Spock. This mask in such excellent condition! I so hope to acquire a real 75 kirk to go with it someday!!
