So after watching the Producers cut of H6 and the dilemma of not knowing what to be this year for Halloween i finally decided to put two and two together and finally be Myers. So i bought the regular don post from a Halloween shop but i returned it a couple hours later because i got disgusted by the shitty hair and overall crappiness, so i stepped it up and got the deluxe don post that’s not perfect but better than the cheaper one. I found a couple of how-to videos on painting your mask so it can look way better than the mass produced ones and where to get your coveralls and how to weather them nicely so i decided to go this route. After doing some touch ups to the mask imo i made it better than store bought and was proud since its the first time trying to edit a mask also i was pleased with the coveralls. So on Saturday night i go to a bar/nightclub that was doing their Halloween party so everyone was dressed up, to my knowledge i was the only Myers there. After reading on this board about not breaking character while in the mask i took a stab at it and the end results were great. Every time i walked into a room just look straight then i would stand in the same spot for like 20min or so just starring at the crowd and by doing that i would garner the attention of people. They would come up to me and try to get a reaction by talking to me, grabbing my arm but i would not react to them just looked straight ahead. I read on here a couple of people saying the spell that the shape has over women but i admit i was sorta skeptical…i was proven wrong. It seems the biggest reactions i got was from the females who couldn’t comprehend why there was a dude in a Myers mask standing there watching the crowd menacingly. At one point i was standing in one room staring and two girls come up and start looking but then they go on the dance floor, and the whole time one of the girls is dancing she keeps looking at me the whole time!!! little did she know i was laughing inside the mask, her peepers were glued to me. Then as she walks by she puts her finger in my hand to get a reaction but nothing(hindsight i wish i would have grabbed her finger just to hear her scream). In another room a guy and his girl walks up to me and she says “you’ve been freaking me out all night standing there” and her bf tries to get me to talk but i don’t budge and just do the famous head nod.They continue for a little bit and i head back downstairs(two floor club with three rooms fyi) and stand around and a girl grabs my arm and makes stabbing motions with my right arm that was holding my knife and she gets no reaction and just walks away. I head upstairs to the main floor and hang out in some different spots and a whole bunch of girls ask for pics i don’t answer and just let them snap away, which also happened when i moved to the other side of the room. So as i was ready to leave i heard people praising me on my skills on staying in character all night while im just smiling inside the mask thinking mission accomplished. In closing had a good night and cant wait for Halloween 2011 cause hopefully by then I’ll have a sweet indie mask to creep people out again, maybe even more since i wont be a noob.
