How do you guys recommend carving these? Do you just wet and then tape the pattern to the pumpkin and carve or do you draw the shapes first and then cut?

I taped the stencil to the funkin or real pumpkin. And traced with corn on the cob holders. Then cut out with

Corn on the cob holders sound like a great way to trace the pattern. What did you use to carve? I’ve got a drywall saw that I’ve read is good for real and artificial pumpkins, but I haven’t tried it out yet.
