Here is my spare goalie mask I had painted up by a good pal of mine over at Weasel Head Designs. His name is Doug Wager. I oil paint photorealistic horror art by I do not do much with airbrushing. I had this done for the intentions of having Jamie Lee Curtis autograph this along with Nick Castle. I have a fun last name for this project. My last name is Nichols ( Nichols Hardware ring a bell?) If not that is the hardware store that Michael Myers robbed in H1 to obtain his famous mask. So we had fun with the back plate. I will post different pics in this thread of Photoshop images I made for the mask.
Turns out another member on here has the same H4 Poster image on there goalie mask. Its bold and perfect for what I needed though. The Nichols Hardware goes along with my last name which is actually Nichols. I will upload the backplate art in a sec. My photoshopping isnt the greatest but I was just having fun with it.
The funny part is the backplate which has a broken store front window. Either the family in the film was Nichol and it was Nichol’s Hardware…it does not matter my last name is Nichols. I am going to have this signed at Horrohound on the 17th in silver by Jamie Lee and Nick Castle.
Random outside shots. I got the mask on Halloween morning in the mail which was pretty cool. We went with the pumpkin from the opening credits of the film.
Im new to the board. I dont have a avatar up or nothing yet My name is Andy Nichols. I live in Fort Wayne Indiana. Im a lifelong hockey goalie who loves Halloween. I did this to have autographed at Horrorhound. Since it was a salty ticket what would warrant an autograph of that price besides a Kirk Coverted mask or original poster…so I thought hmmm my goalie mask all done up would be cool. The mask blank is $900 in itself. The paint ranges 300-600 depending on designs.
Andy
