So, my Sinister Studios Obsession mask just came in about 30 minutes ago. Very surprised at how quick it came. Little over two weeks. Surprising since the wait time is a month or a tad over. Anyway, I’m very pleased with this mask. Looks great and fits me very well, too. Fits me like a glove - like how my TOTS H6 replica does. The latex on this mask is super thick, too, if any of you guys want to know. I’m really loving this! Anyway, here’s a pic!

Great Obsession mask, congrats! The Obsession was my first indie mask and I still have it(actually it is now officially my son’s mask).
It’s funny, when I ordered my Obsession, it took about 2 1/2 weeks as well but The Hiro took exactly 30 days. The times will probably start increasing with October less than 5 weeks away.

That’s cool to hear that you got yours within that time frame, too. I just wasn’t expecting it showing up that quick because of the time frame on the site and what I’ve heard elsewhere, but, hey, I can’t complain that I got it earlier than expected, haha. Yeah, indie companies stay busy the closer it gets to Halloween. I’m really liking this Obsession mask and how it looks. Fits great, too. The hair on mine is great. Also, is yours pretty thick? Mine is. As you can see in the pic I posted, I didn’t even have anything holding it up. It was doing that on its own that’s how thick it is, which is good to me.
Once you start getting the indie masks, one thing you notice right away is the thickness of the latex. I’ve had several TOTS, and while they’re better than the mass produced masks from years ago, they’re just not as thick as the masks from Sinister or CGP, etc… The Hiro and Obsession are thick masks, but the Warlock form Cemetary Gate is ridiculously thick.
Enjoy The Obsession. I know it won’t be the last indie mask you’re going to buy, but it’s the one you’ll remember the most.
I have a TOTS H6 replica and it was my first replica mask and it is very good, but it’s nowhere near as thick as my Sinister Studios Obsession. I can get my Obsession to stand up on its own without a stand it’s so thick, as you see in the picture. While it’s not my first indie mask, it’s my first indie Myers mask and to say I’m pleased is an understatement. My other indie masks are replica Jason hocks - a clean Part 3 from Crash Creations and the end/barn scene Part 3 from Escape Theory Studios. I for sure will have more indie masks in the future. I’d love to have a Halloween 5 replica from an indie artist, but most of the indie artists I’ve heard of charge $300 or over, so I just may have to settle for a TOTS H5, which would be perfectly fine with me because I’ve been wanting an H5 replica for a long time and I love that mask.
