My weathered h4 coveralls

So, I originally wanted to send my Big Macs to a friend for a H4 weathering treatment but he charges $125 + shipping. That’s almost double the price I paid for my mint condition herringbone Big Macs. I decided to weather them myself. I used 4 cans of black spray paint.
Here’s the result. Let me know if I can improve something.
A special thank you to TheGhostlyShape and Englundisgod for giving me Tipps on how to weather them.

Lovely! Looking good.

Thanks man!

I used the same method. They could use a bit more around the right shoulder and pocket

Looking nice man! I suggest sanding some more areas down, though. Here a few photos for reference!

Looks so awesome man would love to see some worn shots !!

Thanks man! I will post some worn shots once my H4 mask arrives but I have this for now.

Thank you man! I will definitely do that!

They turned out really good! :myers: my only suggestion is dont darken them anymore, they are great as is.

Now that theyre the right color, I would wash them once with half a cup of bleach in a full load of water in the laundry.
You let the washer fill completely with water, then pour in the bleach and stir it around. Do this without the suit in there
Once the bleach is diluted and mixed toss in the jumpsuit and wash them in the hot water for a full cycle.

After that I would wash them once or twice with lots of fabric softener to break up the starchy-ness of the paint.
When thats done put them in the dryer with 4-5 fabric oftener sheets.
Throw a few tennis balls in the dryer with the coveralls this will loosen the fabric more.
I use these plastic dryer balls specifically made for this

I decided to give them a 30 Minute wash and they look a lot better in my opinion. Let me know what you think.
Here’s a comparison picture of before the wash and after

Much better! the weathering looks more natural. Like its from him wiping his oily hand on them/ laying on the floor under the cars.

See how great they turned out, why send them to somebody when you can learn yourself and save money

Thank you so much for the advices. I was really nervous when I weathered them but you made me realize that I got this. And the washing made it even better
