why wouldn’t he? he’s a beast, even if his head looks avarage he’s still an over 2 meters buffed up guy and his head is proportioned, my head is 24" and I wear a 24,5, so I don’t see why he shouldn’y have worn a 25", besides a guy here who seemed to have work with the RZ staff confirmed me that the original RZ mask was a 25", and it makes sense.
James has a smaller head than Castle and he’s still a tall guy, and especially since JJC is bald

They had trouble with him wearing a wig under the mask, and Mane had very short hair for the film, so it is pretty much the same deal
honestly I don’t know what you’re talking about, a wig under the mask? for what? and MAne very short hair? they seem pretty long to me, still I don’t understand what it’s got to do with the fact that he wore a 25" mask
A wig would make his head bigger, thus the mask being bigger, I doubt it was a 25" mask, I think it was like a 24"
I still don’t follow you, was he wearing a wig? if he was it’s one more reason to wear a bigger mask, if he was’t wearing a wig it was stil a huge mask, it was huge on Judith’s boyfriend who was a grown boy, 24" is still a smallish size, and I know it very well cause I own a 24,5 mask and it’s not that huge, pretty sure it wouldn’t fit Tyler’s head.
Tyler Mane is, uh, balding. 
He wore a long haired wig for the sanitorium scenes. When the make up department cast the masks for the first movie, they measured the mold true to size for Tyler Mane’s head, and neglected to consider that the latex would shrink slightly. When they went to put the mask on Mane’s head with the wig on, it didn’t fit, so they had to snip locks from the wig and taped them to the inside of the mask instead. The Buzznet edition of the Buried and any mask haired by QOTS will have this feature for extra screen accuracy. The mask for the first movie was very tight on Tyler Mane’s face and I believe in the second movie this was fixed so that the mask fit better with the beard and hair and all that.
He first wore a wig for a test, but when he put the mask on, it kept coming off, so they got rid of it, and stuck strands on the back of the mask’s neck, and it already fit tight enough to his face like you see here, is what I’m trying to get at, and since he doesn’t have a lot of hair as it is, his head would be smaller
Honestly from this picture I really can’t see whether or not he’s wearing a wig, if the mask was coming off, etc, don’t know where you got all this info or if you’re just imagining these things, I always saw him with long hair in that period, it never struck me that he had a few hairs like you’re stating 
, can’t say for sure how large was his head but I’m pretty sure the mask was 25"

For Tyler close to 25” seems right when you see it off the screen held from the photos I’ve seen. I think we could probably dig around or I’ll see if I can find out Tyler’s real head size. I usually wear masks 24 inches so I can’t see how Tyler’s head is only
Slightly bigger than mine at over a foot almost in height too in def gonna try and find the facts

In the first RZ film, they tried to put the mask on while he was wearing the wig, but it didn’t fit and he could barely get it down over his face. So they removed the wig, and just glued hair around the inside bottom of the neck of the mask for the look to remain, but make it easier for him to wear the mask. The masks were made ahead of time without the wig in mind.
In RZ H2, the mask was made with those things in mind, thus a larger mask. All of these facts are right there in the deluxe versions of both films. Especially the first one, with the 4 hour documentary. The actual mask measurements aren’t touched upon I don’t think, but everything else is.
The first RZ film, he only wore the wig in unmasked scenes. In RZ H2, he wore it the whole film as the masks were made to fit with the wig on.
That first RZ film on the deluxe Blu-ray, has in depth behind the scenes and a 4 hour documentary that follows the filming. All of these things are thoroughly discussed.
Tyler did eventually grow his hair out, but not while filming the Halloween films. He had short hair during that period.
I like 24-24.5 for H1. It’s not too big, not too small. Just right I feel

I was checking back to see if you were able to find anymore facts on the size of Tyler’s head/mask? Who’s the guy in the Devil’s Reject’s shirt holding the mask? I don’t know if he is of average height and I realize there is probably a little photographic perspective at play with the angle of his arm but that mask is swallowing his arm! I’m 5’9" with average 8.5" hands from wrist to fingertip. If his hands are average size like mine, his wrist is above the bridge of the masks nose–double that, nose to bottom of neck is then approx 17" total and that mask is absolutely huge!
Rob Zombie is 5’10" so his hands are probably somewhere around 8.5" in length, compared to the mask in Tylers hand, it again fits twice end to end. My QOTS Zombie is about 13" inches tall, top of head to bottom of neck. My 8.5" open hand’s wrist is at the bottom of his nose!
