Watched Halloween 2 last night. In the end credits, obviously they list “The Shape” as Dick Warlock. (And as partrol man #5…) Then they list “Michael Myers (Age 23)…Tony Moran”.
You can see them here, specifically at the 1:44 mark.
This is referring to the very start of the movie, when the end is H1 is shown again. When the mask comes off, it’s Tony Moran (this is in H1, the 1978 film). So according to the credits, Michael Myers/The Shape was 23 in 1978. Which would make his birthdate of Oct. 19, 1957 wrong by 2 years, making him 63 in the upcoming film (will be 63 on Oct 31, 2018). (And, since H2 takes place on the same night Oct 31, 1978, there is no way he was born in 1957)
Anyone ever notice this before? We have conflicting dates here.
I also just checked H1’s credits, and again, it lists “Michael Myers(Age 23)… Tony Moran”
So we can now conclude that since both films list Myers as being 23 in 1978, that 1957 cannot be his birth year, and it must then be Oct 19, 1955. Here’s H1, at 1:30
I’d have to agree with you, I think it’s just a mess up. But it is a mess up nonetheless, that not many people seem to have noticed. It’s just another interesting fact for us fans to enjoy, IMO.
What’s weird is they didn’t have to list the age in the credits. And it wasn’t Moran’s age, he was born in August of 1957.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s a mistake. He is actually supposed to be 21 in H1 and H2, making him 61 in the new movie. Also, in H2, there’s a scene where Dr. Loomis says, and I quote, “Michael Myers is 21”
So strange they messed up such an obvious thing in the credits.
I always like to point out that Michael is never referred to in the first film as “Michael Myers,” not even in the credits! They don’t even ever say that Judith is his sister or anything like that.
I don’t believe Michael was meant to be a Myers in Halloween, or rather that it was meant to be kept vague. Judith could have been his babysitter, in fitting with the theme of the original title, “The Babysitter Murders”.
That’s not accurate. It’s explicitly mentioned in the first movie that Judith was his sister, and he was referred to as Michael Myers several times throughout.
Doesn’t deleted scenes that they use for tv have that scene where they are in a courtroom and they say Michael Audrey Myers ? Or was that filmed for part 2
It’s definitely called the Myers house in part 1, Tommy, Laurie and Laurie’s Father specifically say “the Myers house” before and when walking to it to drop off the keys.
Unless there is a mandella effect presenting itself here, to which I am just going to give up at that point! Lol
Not even in the credits. He’s never explicitly identified as a Myers in the first film. Although I think it is indeed implied that he is Judith’s brother.
