Can anyone tell me the difference between these masks? I’ve been looking at them done by JC and love them, but have no idea what the difference is between them.
Not much really. The 98 proto is smaller and in my eyes rougher but in my personal opinion the old mold, new mold, 98 and Castle are all variants of the 75k and very similar. The Castle comes in a larger size. JC has a 3 year wait time so if you are buying secondhand expect to spend a fortune. I love my JC Shat and will say I believe the Shat/Creep and 75k Castle are the 2 best H1 masks you can get*
*Besides rarities such as the 2K or DB2
Thank you, I love the 75k Castle stretch look. I have a small head, I think 21.5 inches and find it hard to find a mask that will fit. And a 3 year wait time? Wow, I had no idea it would be that long lol
The 98 Proto is the closest you’ll ever get to the 75 Kirk. The 98 Proto is a direct recast of a 98 Kirk, which was made by laser scanning a 75 kirk. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s what I was told.
The 75K (Castle, old mold, new mold), are different variations of the Proto. I’ve owned about every mask you could think of, and the 98 Proto is the most accurate mask I’ve ever owned.

And the 98 proto is tiny, like 23’. Some even smaller. The sculpt is great you might be happy ordering directly from Nikos (NAG Masks) on Facebook. They are pricy, about $400, $395 to be exact for a Castle, but if your head is small then the 98 might be your best bet. I’ve owned almost every H1 and I like the Shat/Creep best but it’s all what you see in the Hero and what you like the most. Hope you order a mask you love man
