The mask sits comfortably and adopts a wider face profile as you’d expect. Now watch what happens when I simulate Nick’s hair by slightly padding the crown of my head.
The padding causes the mask to rise slightly and hug the face contours, but not only that, depending on how I manipulate my jaw I’m able to apply a natural stretch as it would have occurred on set. This is really handy when wishing to recreate those certain H1 scenes.
Here’s the same mask with appropriate side spot lighting in an attempt to recreate the iconic phone shot. It could have done with a touch more stretch to achieve the appropriate lip pucker however I was overall really pleased with how accurate the 98 came across. (Note to self, hold phone higher and open collar wider)
I don’t make a habit of stretching my proto and you can rest assured it’s given plenty of TLC and cleaning before going back into an anti dust/UV storage display.
