Need reference pics for back of Myers house.

I have a very talented cousin who makes these amazing model buildings, ships, spacecraft, really anything he wants. He’s created a couple very detailed six foot long Titanic models complete with the grand staircase and all! He’s also made a four foot replica of the original Star Trek USS Enterprise.

So recently he got into the model train hobby and he’s been going crazy building things for his little town. He makes these things out of everyday materials, mostly different types of cardboard and things like that.

Long story short, I was talking with him today and jokingly suggested that I should pay him to make me a Myers house replica for my 6" Myers figure and he said that he would be honored to make one for me and asked for some reference pictures of the Myers house. I found all kinds of them online and even put on my 4K '78 Halloween movie and grabbed some more.

However, I cannot, for the life of me, find any reference pictures of the back of the Myers house. I did find a kind of “blueprint” of the side of the house but nothing like a direct, full pic of the back.

I’m hoping someone here may be able to help me out on my search. I’d love to get an accurate 6" scale model of the Myers house made by my cousin.

Who knows…if it turns out like I think it will, some of you may be able to hit him up for one.

Thanks guys!

Why not do just the front? It would be a pretty big model to be in scale with a 6’ figure

That’s true. Didn’t really think about the size of a full 6" scale Myers house. Lol! But what a display it would make.

I live near the area. All I remember when I visited were two doors on opposite sides on the back. And steps leading up to the individual doors.

Thank you Whip! I’ll keep that in mind.

Wow dude I didnt know this kind of info was out there. I personally have been trying to recreate the Myers house in lego with stud.io. are there any interior shots online?

Edit: thought I’d add this before tomorrow morning, the back of the house is completely flat, for filming they added a square section (great example shown on the myers house replica above).

Thanks, man! I have that same “blueprint” pic but I don’t have the other one. Much appreciated!

The back has 2 doors, but (when standing looking at the back of the house) the left door had a square compartment built around it by production. There is also a window centered between the doors, but up near the roof. Uploading ref tomorrow!

Sweet! Thanks, man! :drinkers:

Here’s all the myers house reference I have saved on my phone, I may have more on my laptop at home.

I can say however, the last myers house NC blueprint showing the back is incorrect, they modified it to transform it into more of a livable space. Here’s a crude, REALLY crude drawing of what it would’ve looked like during filming.

Pre filming modification: : (doors at bottom)

Post filming modifications:

Hope these help!!

Was the original address 709?
Nevermind. I got it…707.

That would be awesome in minifig scale! I’d love to see the model if you can share.

In this interview you can see the back half of the myers house https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nkzUwLmbW4&t=1165s

Here’s a still-frame from the YouTube video posted above. I must say, this appears to be an original addition to the house itself rather than something that was added in production. I suspect this back portion of the house was removed sometime shortly before it was almost demolished and then moved down the street. Does anyone have a source on this addition being added during production of the film?

Well here is this excerpt from Kenny’s myers house NC website:

“As a result of the relocation, the small addition to the back of the house for the filming of HALLOWEEN had to be removed, but other than that, the house appears today exactly as it did in the classic 1978 film.”

But I’m unsure of where he got that too. This is just one of those things that has been a “fact” for all these years, but many of those long running facts have been disproven so who knows lol. It’s possible that it was said in a documentary or something, so I’ll keep searching!
