Never thought I would say this: tonight I walked out on a Halloween film on first viewing

My wife, 25 year old son, and myself went last night to see the flick. I knew it was gonna go bad when a couple of loud 20-something women plopped down behind us, just as the feature was beginning. They had to start talking lowly until they get settled in, and continue to loudly whisper.

I immediately start to think of this very MM.net thread. HAHA.

10 minutes into the movie, 2 numbsnuts walk into the dark theatre, and yell out … “JESSICA!”. Of course Jessica is one of the females right behind us, and she loudly lets him know where she is. You could hear the collective moan from everybody in the theater.

One of dumbass’ stumbles and falls right behind my wife’s seat and grabs it as he goes down drunkenly. These two guys won’t shut up. My son sternly asks them to stop talking. They say no problem, but continue to yap and never miss a beat. We made it till the bus scene, and by then, my blood pressure has maxed out, and I’ve had enough. I tell my wife and son we’re leaving, and they agree. As I stand up to leave, I look at the guy behind me and tell him … “Thanks for f*cking up the movie for us.” He says “WUT? What do you mean?” So I repeated myself. He yakked some bullshit, as we walked out.

We went to the manager and got refunds. They said they were gonna go take care of the troublemakers, but I said it doesn’t make a sh*t to me, because our evening was ruined, and if you’d had an usher in the theater, the problem could have been stopped as soon as it started.

Just sucks. I worked all weekend, and was pumped to finally get to see the movie. We might try to back Wed night. Wish us luck, lol.

My second showing had a 5 year old girl in there. I couldn’t believe it.

I’d go off on a mfrr

Was it always this way or have things become worse?

I also think our genre (horror) attracts more of a rough crowd.

Friday the 13th remake was pretty much ruined for me when someone kept pointing a laser pointer at the screen. Someone reported it but the movie theatre could not determine who was using it so it continued to the end.

A lot of the people I want to avoid also tend to walk in late or at least after the previews. This makes it harder to avoid them. They always seem to bee line right for me.

I always get someone coming in my row (as close to me as societal norms allow) and start munching on some huge tray platter that I had no idea you could even buy. I always say to myself “The weird noises will be over as soon as they finish their food.” But the one guy rationed his food to the very end and the other guy, well, he just started talking once his mouth wasn’t full anymore.

I did not plan on going to Halloween in the theatres but I couldn’t stand it anymore and went. I am glad I went but I’m avoiding theatres as much as I can.
