don’t get me wrong the sculpt looks good, but am I the only one who thinks he is pumping out these new sculps too much. That wizard sculpt does not look very good to me at all. Also it seems a little suspect that he comes out with this sculpt right after nick mulpagano comes out with his h1 kirk lineage stretch sculp, idk maybe I’m reading to much into it.

Pretty accurate stretch imo, not a huge fan of the wizard as said by others - looks overly round haha

Same crap, different dumpster, Nikos has NOTHING new to offer, simple as that, we already peaked with the I.D mask, and he just straight up copied and pasted it, but made it less accurate

As much as I like this sculpt I do 100% agree. If only more IDs were available.
Nik has definitely put out some bangers in the past. The 2K’s were hard to beat at one point. Especially after a JC conversion. I’d still like to own a PS78 if it was a smaller mask. I’ve owned alot too that were so so or looked decent on display but not while being worn. As much hate as this guy gets though…I’d say we’ve been lucky to have him around. His masks have stood the test of time as well. The Castle, 98 Proto, and others. Still heavy hitters in the game. If you have a personal problem with him than don’t buy from him. Simple as that.

From a consumer’s perspective, you’re absolutely right. This guy has provided the hobby with some of the best masks available for many many years. Hard to argue against that.
However, from an artist’s perspective, it’s hard to like this guy at all.
Guys like him make the creative space miserable.
When an artist toils endlessly to produce something of value and works hard to gain traction with their market of consumers, only to have that hype taken by another artist whose latest concept is a clear and obvious replica of your replica, it’s infuriating.
It’s the same feeling you get when someone takes credit for the hard work you’ve done.
Think of it like a supervisor/employee relationship. The supe already has the good job, the better pay, the accolades. Now imagine you work extra hard to get noticed by the boss’ boss, you come up with some clever new ways to do the job better, you’re putting in extra hours to really make the work perfect. You’re hoping to maybe get a raise or at least a pat on the back and an atta-boy, but just as your boss’ boss is about to take a look at what’s been accomplished, your supe steps in and takes credit for your work. The supe ends up getting more of what he already has. More stature, more money, more accolades. Supe stays on top.
It really does feel like theft in a way. It’s a terrible feeling that makes a person feel victimized.
If you’ve ever had something stolen from you, and you had no recourse to get it back, no way of holding the thief responsible, you know exactly what these other artists are feeling when that guy does this over and over again.

Let’s not go down this road. Everyone knows the history of everything, it’s been documented quite well around here. It wouldn’t take long to use the search function and find everything you wanted to know. Every single NAG thread doesn’t need a reminder. If you want to comment on the mask, go for it. Otherwise I will just shut this thread down.
Let’s be grateful we are here in the first place, because if Malek Akkad wanted to shut this hobby down, he could do it with a Thanos snap.
