Hi guys,
This is my first thread on these forums although I have been a member for a few years. I am currently seeking out the best H1 replica for display only and will have it coverted by JC regardless of what mask I get. After a ton of reseach and talking with NIK from NAG and Justin Mabry I have narrowed it down to the H78 or Pshyco. Out of these to masks which one do you guys feel has the best H1 look and finish when coverted by JC and if you have pics of either that are converted can you please post them. This will help my final decision

Hey Brian,
When you post something like this you are bound to get equal parts of people saying “Psycho” and “H78” so in the end it’s still going to come down to you making a decision. There have been a lot of these type of posts lately…I wonder what’s going on??? 
As far as pics…dude, the forum is full of them, pretty much everywhere you look.
I would go with an H78 by the way 
Between the two, the Psycho without a doubt. I owned two H78’s and they just didn’t do it for me.
And that proved his point 
You can’t go wrong with a H78. That is by far the between it and the Psycho as top true H1 replicas. And plus JC does great work on it as well.
Both masks are awsome H1 masks, and you are choosing from 2 awsome sculpters. and you are also chossing whom I’d like to call the Magic man himself, the great James Carter. But ultimalty it comes down to your decision, I own 2 NAG’s one of which was converted by another great person, whom doesn’t do conversions anymore, I wish Mike aka All Hallows Ghost still did conversions, as he is Equally gifted in the art of conversions, just check out my avatar it’s an NAG/AHG 78 and it’s awsome. Again it’s all up to you, sorry i’m not much help, I love both the H78 and Physco…Dean
Brian, I am the ONLY one here who has owned both the 05’ Psycho proto and H78 Kirk proto (which I later had converted by AHG). The Psycho gets my seal of approval far and wide. The H78 looks great as a Kirk, but once converted it just never did it for me. On display next to my Psycho proto, the H78 looked out of place and did not fit in with my high end collection of H1 protos at the time. At that time, I also owned the 02’ NM78 proto, Db2 proto, Db Col conversion, Second Stab proto, Nemesis proto… And when I came to getting rid of my first mask guess which one I sold first?..the H78. The masks have never done it for me once converted.

The H78 wins from the front, the Psycho wins from the side profile and overall proportions and shape.
Personally I’d hold out for Justin’s new Kirk - then send that bad boy to JC. It’s bound to be a winner.
In my opinion, the H78 is by far a better mask.

I own both masks and the psycho does have better proportions and shape like Chad said. The H78 is a good mask but personally I would wait to see how the 75k comes out, looks better from all the pics I have seen so far. If you cant wait, get whatever gives you that H1 vibe!
Oh man that H78 is sick now I am having a tough time deciding. I just emaile Justin to see if he has any teaser pics of his new Myers and when it is coming out. Does anyone hear have any teaser pics of Justin’s new masterpiece and when is it supposed to be done? Justin told me the Psycho is his favorite Myers mask to date but he is trying to out do it with his new mask since he molded the Phsyco 5 years ago.
I think the H-78 and the Psycho are both top notch. You can’t go wrong with either one. I personally never owned a Psycho but have seen one in person. And let me tell ya, that mask rocks. As far as the H78 goes, all I could same is awesome. Here’s a pic of my latest one. This NAG/ H78 was done up by James Carter ( JC). Hey man if you could get both I say go for it.

If were talking about the 2005 Psycho its a different story. Certain copies of the 2005 Psychos are simply beautiful, but psycho copies overall just do not look like an accurate myers mask in the front (which matters the most to me) but it does not make it a bad mask. The newer psychos IMO lack detail and the finishing just does not compare to the 2005 lineup. You can argue that the side profile is what makes the mask stand out because it does nail the closet scene better than most masks.
IMO, the h78 with the right finishing or converted properly is a much more accurate mask. But Its all up to you, its better to look in the photo gallery and be the judge for yourself.

Oh wow this is very difficult, the H78 looks amazing in these pics and the Psycho looks good in this last pic but I think the H78 nails the front view better but maybe its just me. Now leaning towards H78 especially converted by JC it looks spot on to the movie but I have not seen a Psycho converted by JC yet. Something about the eye holes on the Psyhco doesnt seem as accurate as the H78. Hmmmmmm… 
I will be receiving both Justin’s upcoming Kirk proto and Myers proto, only myself and a handful of others have completed sculpt pics. Check out my avatar pic and Donnie’s avatar pics for a teaser peak. Justin is casting and finishing up the Kirk mold as we speak. The Kirks will be limited to 20 copies and the Myers will be produced in unlimited production. Anyone interested in pricing feel free to PM me about additional details.
