Nice picaroonies guys… I would lean towards a Psycho…If your head is shaped like that guy from “Mask” with Cher then a H78 will fit great. If not, It might run big in the back of the head. There are a few vids on you tube where you can clearly see that he needs to stuff the back with white plastic bags to make it fit right. Other than that they are both nice masks to own either way… Good luck!

lol, yea yea Paul thanks for reminding me of one of the darkest hours of my collecting career. 
The mask is currently in the possession of Dirk (Dimue on the boards), who also goes by FreakyRaptor on Ebay.
When you have an H78 sitting next to that bad boy of a Psycho, who could blame me for the opinion that I hold of the H78 in comparison to the Psycho. 
There are several copies of the H78 that I’d take over that Psycho…Larry

Honestly, guys that is a wicked ass psycho no doubt. But lets be realistic, how many of those you see floating around here? Like i said, that is hands down the best psycho i have ever seen and it doesnt even look like a psycho. How many of us are going to be owning that 1 proto? I still think it depends on the copy…and so far I have seen many more H78 copies in person that look way more accurate than psychos in dark or edited pictures. Everyone has an oppinion so i respect everyones.
I know this post is about Phsyco’s and H78’s but can people post there H4 Cover mas pics. Nik says this is the most accurate H1 mask from his lineup. thanks

As far as my “proto” collection goes, I’m not the only collector, who likes proto copies, nor do I necessarily hail protos as exclusively superior to production copies. My good friend Scott (ghost) too prefers proto copies, does that make him an ellitist? No it’s just a matter of preference. There are many production copies that standout that I love and wish I could have owned during the hayday of my collection, including but not limited to… Eric’s old 05’ Psycho, Darren’s Psycho81, Eric’s NM78 #6, Paul (Crofaders) NM81 (non-NM81 proto copy), Paul (50-1-50)'s NM78 #2, Jason (GoBears) Nightmare, Frank’s Nightmare, Matt (Number2) Shape08 Kirk conversion, Benny’s DB Kirk conversion, blah blah… so I’m not an “ellitist” who hails my collection as the end all of Myers masks.
The guy wanted reference pics and although the Gallery is a nice start, it is seriously lacking, so like everyone else I posted my old copies…which just so “happened” to be protos, God forbid! Hell Jim’s (TheShape1188) Psycho that he posted looks f’ing PHENOMENAL, so anyone who thinks that you have to have one of my old protos to have a good looking Psycho is a damn fool, cuz there are MANY knockout copies out there and Jim’s copy proves it. Donnie’s PsychoSE, Todd (Tola’s) PsychoSE, Deano’s old 05’ Psycho,… the list goes on and on with Psychos that I think are insane. Only 2 H78’s really have impressed me, Jason’s H78/AHG, and a H78 that Mike (AHG) had in his own private collection.
Hmmmmm, I hope that this thread which started innocently enough as a “which one should I get” type of thread (that we have all seen too many of) isn’t becoming an H78 VS Psycho battle…why that would just be downright silly

I’ve owned 3 psycho’s and plenty of H-78’s, they all rocked however, certain copies stood out for sure.
I had a psycho that I WISH I had back. It was plain out sick. I’m a bonehead for letting that one go.
Thats my only mask that I ever regret selling… 
I have a couple H-78’s that to this day, I can’t stop staring at. They are so creepy, I feel like I’m on the set when I look at them.
To me, the mask has to give you that feeling. The feeling you felt, when you first saw that ghostly white image… 
So, bottom line, YOUR DECISION, YOUR PREFERENCE…
Just make sure you get a good copy, otherwise, it could be prety disappointing for sure…

Sometimes you guys crack me up…“had several H78’s” and sold them???
I wouldn’t sell my mass produced CS unless someone needed an operation. Even though it’s a bastard and way too big even for my head…it’s mine and I’m not giving it up. I collect many things, mostly toys and comics…I wish I would have spent 1/10 of the money on masks that I have on other things, I would probably have the biggest collection ever seen
