Had a touch of hope, that H1 they did looked okay after an overhaul. These look nothing like the license they are being sold under.
Doesn’t Rubies make a lot of money from their vast catalog?
Why is it that their sculpts are so lackluster? Shouldn’t they be able to hire ultra-talented artists to sculpt and finish their masks?
Plus, rubies masks smell absolutely terrible. The hair falls out just by looking at it. It gave me this weird rash on my cheeks where the mask touched when I put it on. Nothing good to say on my end at all. Crap, crap and more crap. I could have bought my wife some sexy outfit with the money I wasted on the “H1” mask and got some nookie, My bad. And once they hit the shelves, I guarantee they’ll look nothing like those pics posted in this thread. Hold on…I think I smell that mask that’s buried in my closet…ewwwww

Honestly, maybe I’m going too easy on them, but this is better than I expected Rubies to do. I won’t be buying it, but it’s not the worst looking mask I ever saw.
That H5 looks nothing like the mask used in the film…not in the slighest. And the H4 mask would look better if the mouth wasn’t curved up like a smile.
I had the best H4’s and H5’s over the years and loved them, but they were all usually too small. For H4 I loved my MCS one but was too small, and I had several great H5’s which were also too small and the last one was actually too big which was a surprise. But I think this H4 is pretty good for mass produced. The eyebrows seem a tad high and more of a smile as opposed to a neutral look, but not that bad for mass produced and much better the the past ones. Even the H5 has the general look. Could also modify them some and hopefully they would be big enough to actually fit. Even TOTS masks are too small except for the H2 and H6 just fits. I loved the last one I had from M Ryan Bogard but was huge and also the Ghastly Pro one which was too small, also had the payback and backpay again too small. There hardly any options out there for H4 and H5 so it is good they are at least trying. Would love to customize a few and see how they turn out. A LOT better than I expected from Rubies.

It’s easy to get spoiled having the best indie masks but these are mass produced so for that it is pretty good actually. I would have loved this back in the 80’s and can’t believe it took so long to make mass a produced H4 and H5.
Absolutely! If these things had existed in the 80’s there almost certainly would’ve been some ‘Tickle Me Elmo’ type bloodshed going down. 
Their not too shabby but not that great either. But I be damned if I’m gonna pay $500 + for a mask. I got better stuff to get with my money. So ill just stick TOTS MASKS and maybe a Rubies h4. haha
Many here have initially scoffed at the notion of paying that much for a mask, myself included, but I tell you what…there’s nothing else out there like a quality indie mask and if you can get your hands on one you’ll probably change your tune too, just like us.
Your first doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive either, mine was a MM78 I got from JITB for $40, but it’ll open the flood gates, lol.
What nowonmai said. I had that attitude when I first joined here, but most of my masks have actually cost me less than half than that. The key to this hobby is patience.
