I received my Workrite coveralls today. I got the charcoal color, but was kinda disappointed when I opened the box and saw they appeared navy. I took them out, looked at them in different light, and I noticed that they in fact ARE charcoal. They have a definite blue-ish tint to them, which is pretty awesome. They do run a little small it seems. I normally wear a 42r, but I got the chance to get these for $25 at size 44r. I couldn’t pass that offer up, seeing how they go for $100 on Amazon. They fit me perfectly. So for people planning on ordering them, order a size up. I took a few shots in different lighting, front and back. If anyone wants to see more pictures of a certain spot or if you have any questions, just leave a reply and I’ll get to it ASAP. I’m pretty proud to be the first person on here with a pair of Workrites (that I know of)
Reviving my old thread because the topic is more relevant now.
I’ve noticed alot of people saying that the coveralls are navy blue, but I will say without a doubt that the coveralls used in the movie are charcoal. Here’s my proof
Compare the picture of Castle wearing the coveralls to some of the pictures I posted. Let me know how you feel!
Edit: My father wears navy blue Workrite uniforms to his Fire Dept. and let me tell you, Workrite navy blue looks almost black. Very dark. The shot of Castle’s hand and the legs of his coveralls are definitely not navy.
Congrats on a awesome score. Those are
just amazing looking.
Just like in the Castle pic.
Thank you, sir!
Those are awesome, congrats.
Gonna need to snag me some myself, any word on the boots? Heard they were black jungle boots, this true?
Cool score man!
Unfortunately, no clear shots of the boots yet
Nick has recently confirmed that the color is a heavily weathered Navy Blue. But charcoal looks blue in a lot of lightnings and vice versa. It is even looks green sometimes in daylight as with H1 and H2, and spruce green looks charcoal sometimes and blue as I seen in all my own pics/videos of the costumes and life-sized that I make in all different lightnings.
If you still believe they’re navy, refer to this post
And also
Charcoal Workrite coveralls beside a navy blue Workrite shirt. The navy will always be too dark to make the color seen in the picture with Michael’s bloody hand
Yep they look just right! I used a razor to very carefully take the patches off.
Well that is what Nick said as stated, unless he is color blind maybe. But he is the one wearing them and seeing them in person. But charcoal does look blue in many lightings as I said so who knows? No way of knowing for sure without seeing them in person. But Nick said they were heavily weathered blue and the weathering may make them look more charcoal color, especially if it was grey paints or light colored dirt which had the same effect on my clothes as well making some colors appear lighter. But I prefer charcoal as well as they show weathering better and still look blue sometimes in darker lighting. But is certainly possible that they are blue with lighter color weathering making them appear grey if put on heavy, as I experience that myself with various costumes. I doubt Nick would lie about it or not know though.
Nick would have been wearing sunglasses a lot which trick his eyes
I honestly thought my coveralls were navy when I saw them in person the first time. They really only appear charcoal in pictures. To the naked eye the have a definite blue-ish tint. The closest pictures that resemble how they look to the naked eye would be the 2nd and 4th picture I had in my first post. Its still not that similar. Strange color indeed
They appear very charcoal in this picture. Could be the camera though…
Charcoal with the blue light shining on them.
Would you be able to post a picture of the tags? Trying to get a pair myself and would like to know the details, model, etc.
Any place you recommend getting them?
Thanks!
They are available on amazon, heck google will provide you with sites
