Hey guys, I just noticed this has gotten like no attention! TOTS has just added the Elrod knife and the HII Scalpel to their listings of fine foam slasher supplies!
Not entirely sure on the scalpel since it’s foam. Plastic probably would have been a better idea there, but I will definitely be buying that Elrod knife! With all the fun I’ve had stabbing my friends with my foam H1 knife, these things are worth every penny of their value.

For display purposes I would deff want to go with the real deal in both cases if possible, but on that one special night having a foam prop would be awesome
So many times I wanted to take my scalpel or knife out with me on Halloween, but taking the real deal is simply a no-go,
but having a foam prop…

The knife looks good, but not good to use foam on the scalpel in my honest opinion.
Definitely picking up the Scalpel. Maybe next year TOTS will produce the H20 knife. That thing was like the JAWS of butcher knives.
Very much looking forward to these, as well! Doubt I’d bring the scalpel to a party, everyone always expects the knife, ha.
Does anyone have any of the foam knives from these guys? Do they hold up…by that I mean…do they flop around badly? I take a crapload of pics with people, and 90% want me to hold the knife up to their throat. Nothing worse than scaring people, only to have your fake knife break/bend. Just curious as I cannot seem to get my hands on a good prop knife. What I have been using is one of those “Scream” knives. They’re strong, so they work, but something accurate would be a heck of alot nicer.
The TOTS knives have a some kind of stick in side of them so they don’t flop about. The last inch and a half of the blade doesn’t have the stick in it so it bends if you poke someone with it. However this also makes the tip prone to cracking or even breaking off if you’re overly rough with it. Because of the type of foam TOTS uses, the paint is also subject to chipping. Though, for only $15, it’s not a big deal. As Chris Zephro said, they’re there for rough handling and for doing stuff you normally wouldn’t want to do with a real knife or even one of JC’s replicas. They’re not display quality items. They not made with the intent to last.
Love those. I collect the real ones though. They’re still cool for that one night in October!

That scalpel is definitely not made out of foam, but rather plastic. I’ll most likely pick one up for display… I’ve never had an H2 scalpel in my collection before 
On a side note, how much is a real scalpel like the one in the movie?
Guys, the scalpel is made of pu foam, I have held it my hands, and it is badass, also the issues with paint chipping have been totally resolved, do to a new paint process.also the tip issue has been resolved, do to placing a rod all the way to the tip of the knife. Picked up the Elrod knife! They’re both impressive looking, IMO! …ANDY
Just purchased and received the butcher knife as a back up to the one I received earlier from member Scarred 4 Life. The tip still has no support, and it bends extremely easy. There’s no rod all the way through. For the cost, it’s decent, but it’s very much what it sounds like…a knife made out of foam.
I just ordered the scalpel, but waiting for reply from Chris to confirm whether they ship in April or May or now, The Elrod says the same thing but has someone stated they have received it already?
I can’t wait to get the set (I ordered the Elrod and scalpel) I have the butcher’s knife and it isn’t too bad. Considering the safety and price, it can’t be beat. I don’t collect the real deals and I mainly just have a collection of costumes for Halloween and conventions. As for “people expect the knife” luckily the scalpel is compact enough to fit in a pocket easily, unlike the knives. Now I can take two while wearing my H2 bullet riddled coveralls -Elrod or butcher knife and the scalpel.
So I ordered the scalpel and just like the site says there will be a delay. Chris emailed me back and said mine will ship in August. 
i just purchased the H2 knife, the H2 Elrod knife and the H2 scalpel. (while i was there, i also bought the H2 replica pumpkin and the H6 replica pumpkin) i hope these all look nice in my new display im starting. once i get everything i want, along with the look im goin for, i will then replace the props with authentic replicas where possible. 
Fixed that problem. The newest run of Butcher Knifes and Elrod Knife has a rod that goes all the way to to tip and the we changed the paint, so no more pealing. Appreciate everyone that bought the first run. This was our first foray into weapons, hence, you live, learn and improve and that is what we did we round two of the Butcher Knife, Elrod Knife, Scalpel and The Walking Dead Machete.

Yeah, the paint chipping is unfortunate, but for $15 or so, kinda hard to really complain. Glad to hear that ya’ll think it has been worked out.
