Newbie here, help! - '78 Myers Build - t-shirt??

Hey everyone. Newbie here, made this account a while back but never posted before. Hopefully I’m posting this in the right place / part of the forum.

Firstly just want to say … flicking through, I’ve been amazed at the work you ladies and gents have done over the years finding and matching these clothing brands and items to their onscreen counterparts from some of our favourite movies … Truly amazing work.

With that said, just wanted to throw a quick question out there! I’m working on a lifesize '78 Myers at the minute for my collection and want to try and source as close to the movie as possible. So far, I have a few bits including the coveralls and boots. I have a pair of original vietnam jungle boots and the Big Mac coveralls (yea, I know they were recently discovered to be a slightly different brand, Sears if I remember rightly? but I got these before that and from another collector too, who had already accurately weathered them, plus they are the perfect size and colour, so I’m happy with these for now atleast).

Ok, I’m wondering, does anybody possibly know the brand of the black tshirt used on set under the coveralls? I’d imagine that would have been mentioned before but couldn’t find anything on it here or across the web and thought it was worth an ask. Obviously doesn’t have to be the exact same model number etc or from the same time period, maybe just the brand? I ask as I know that the 2018 tshirt was matched and thought it’d be cool to have a somewhat accurate 1978 too. Also, being a UK guy, I’ll need to go on the hunt internationally because pretty much no US brands are stocked here and I’d feel kinda out of place to have him in a modern UK branded tshirt, when everything else is vintage haha!

I’d be very curious about this too, as I’ve always had trouble finding a shirt that has a collar that sits as low on the chest as Nick’s, and that’s a key part of the '78 look in my opinion.

Absolutely, At the minute I have just a simple black tshirt I got from a local UK supermarket. It’s nice quality and will definitely work if nothing else comes up but thought it was worth a try.

Just use a black shirt that’s 2-3x bigger, that’s how the collar goes lower

Any idea on the brand though? As a UK guy, I have no idea about American brands.

You don’t need a specific brand, I doubt Castle even remembers anyways, just any black shirt works, buy one from a thrift/charity shop even

Yea, I get that, I have a generic black t-shirt already but wanted try to match with the rest of the vintage parts I have, ya know like you can do with the 2018 set up.

It won’t happen with the shirt for the early films sadly, due to the fact there’s no shots of the shirt hanging up
