H20 definitely had that Scream/IKWYDLS/Faculty vibe to it. I love those movies, but that is not what a Halloween movie should be.
Trust me, I know. Iāve had this said to me so many times, thereās no way Iāll be able to forget. Again Weāre cool.
I didnāt post this comment directly towards you, I was just posting it in general. Itās all good
I wouldnāt even explain yourself and worry too much about your opinion on this subject especially. Opinions are of course like assholes and when it comes to opinions on Halloween movies and masks it gets even worst. Some peopleās favorite mask and movie are resurrection and some are Halloween 6 and thatās just fine obviously. If you feel the need to knock a specific mask or movie so be it but it shouldnāt in anyway alter someoneās opinion on it that thoroughly enjoys it themselves. Thatās one nice thing about being a Halloween fan is seeing others likes and dislikes and how people enjoy the āless popularā of the sequels along with the masks. After the many years of watching the films and following the hobby Iāve come to enjoy every mask and movie for specific qualityās and can see beautyās in all of it although I of course prefer others over some. I just feel like people are so quick to get into arguments on here over simple personal opinions and be extremely apologetic over simple personal opinions and Iāve never understood it.
I guess I felt the need to say Iām sorry because most of us frequent this site to find like-minded individuals and to share in our enthusiasm for our favorite movies.
H1 is quite literally one of my favorite movies of all time. Top 3. Itās the only film in the franchise that I watch and enjoy regularly.
Iām fortunate in the sense that I have the luxury of coming here and never being disappointed or feeling like my favorite movie is universally hated by other fans of the franchise. Itās quite rare to find anyone around here that doesnāt like, or at the very least, appreciate H1. That would suck pretty hard to come here loving a movie in the franchise, hoping to share in that excitement (especially this time of year) with other nerds that are like you, only to have your favorite movie shredded constantly.
Thatās all.
I couldnāt have explained it better myself. A similar thing has happened to several fandoms I was a part of.
Iām a huge fan of Batman in general. As a kid in the 2000s, I loved watching the Batman and cartoons, and reading the comics.
Unfortunately once The Dark Knight came out, the majority of the Batman fandom started declaring this was the definitive version of Batman and the Joker, and that every previous version of was complete garbage.
During this time period, if you wanted to have a discussion about Batman that wasnāt Dark Knight trilogy related, you wouldāve been out of luck. For that time span, The Dark Knight trilogy was the only Batman related thing talked about in a positive way. The only time the other versions were brought up, they were completely torn apart.
After a while, I completely lost any enthusiasm for the Batman franchise, and stopped watching anything Batman related for several years.
Thankfully though, since the mid 2010s itās seemed to have calmed down.Another franchise I loved watching, and grew up with were the X-Men movies.
Unfortunately when the MCU grew in popularity, itās fandom started attacking the X-Men films. According to them every X-Men movie was horrible, and that Fox should give the rights back to Marvel.
Didnāt matter where on the internet you went. It could be Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Reddit. It wouldnāt matter. Every single video, and post about the X-Men movies were ripping them to ripping to shreds, and chanting for Fox to give the rights back to Marvel.
Once Fox was bought by Disney, there was a massive celebration on every platform.
Eventually I stopped watching the X-Men movies all together. Just like how I lost enthusiasm for Batman, the same thing happened with X-Men as well.
Last month was the first time in years I sat down to watch one of the X-Men films.Regarding Halloween H20. I havenāt been able to watch H20 for the past year.
Anytime I feel like re-watching H20, Iām always reminded of how despised the movie is now. Iāve heard about his eyes, cgi mask, California setting so many times. I canāt sit down to watch the movie without thinking about those things now.
Damn, sorry to hear man! Iām curious, what do you think of The Batman 2022 movie?

I liked it a lot. I have a couple small nitpicks about it, but overall I thought it was a really great movie.
Iām a big fan of the detective side of Batman, so it was incredible finally getting to see that aspect of Batman get brought to the big screen.
Robert Pattinson did a great job nailing Batmanās voice, and demeanor.
Overall it was a great movie. Iām thinking about re-watching it for October, it just feels fitting.

Oh definitely! Robert did a great job as batman, some people are just stuck in the twilight era of robert, they really need to see who he is now.
I loved the new batman movie! You can really tell Matt Reeves really give it his all with each scene, as well as the actors and the whole team involved!
You mentioned that ever since the Dark Knight Trilogy came out, everyone holds that as the new standard for batman films in general. What is your favorite film from the Dark Knight Trilogy?

Pattinson is the first actor to start out as a vampire and turn into a bat, the meme aside though, I think he did great, a friend of mine was his stunt double and drove the Batmobile in that film, I got creeped out by Paul Dano, and not in the good way, having Colin Farrel play a poor mans De Niro for penguin was rather pointless, Zoe Kravitz is my biggest gripe though, she doesnāt come off as Selina, let alone Catwoman for me

I agree completely. When Robert Patterson was announced as the new Batman, I thought he was a pretty good choice.
Robert had done a lot of dramatic work previously, so I felt he would do a great job portraying the darker and tragic sides of Batman.
Especially since Matt Reeves was writing, and directing the movie. I had complete faith in both of them.
When it came to The Batman, I wanted to go in with an open mind, and experience the movie for myself. I made sure to avoid the majority of the marketing, reviews, and social media in general. The only piece of marketing I watched was the teaser trailer.
Batman Begins would be my favorite of The Dark Knight trilogy.
My favorite scene in the movie is after the mansion burns down, and Bruce completely gives up. Afraid comforts him, and inspires him once more to fight for Gotham. āWhy do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.ā Iāve always love the father/son bond between Afraid and Bruce.

Thatās cool! Does your friend know what kind of engine the Batmobile is running and how much power is it putting down?
I thought all of the characters were excellent! Definitely a very different take on each of those characters compared to previous adaptions, Riddler is definitely the huge standout.
Who is your favorite Catwoman?

Oh definitely, when Robert was announced to be playing the Batman, I had 100% faith he will do really well given his previous work in previous movies, and definitely that really helped him.
For the Dark Knight Trilogy, I have to rewatch every film to give a definitive answer. In Batman Begins, the training montage between Raās and Bruce is my favorite, the dialogue and music really sold it. the second one is any scene when Batman is in the Narrows.
Liam Neeson killed it as Raās Al Ghoul!

Michelle Pfieffer is the best Catwoman, no actress has done or could do what she did, especially little subtle things with the way she looks at people and gives an intense presence, especially her tone of voice, as far as the Batmobile, I am not 100% sure about the specs, it is a fast car, but there are editing tricks to it too, hereās a pic he posted from when he was driving it, he did the bike stunts and the fights as well, heās a famous English stuntman, named Rick English, heās been in Batman since Begins as well, so heās done the Nolan Trilogy, heās doubled Batfleck and heās in The Kingsmen doing the church fight scene
In case anyone has $75000 laying around.
I donāt see $75,000 anywhere in the advertisement. I only see 20-30K in Euros. Thatās NEARLY the same as US currency right now, so $20,000-$30,0000. Still, I think you can pick up a '75 Kirk for that. If someone pays 20K+ for that mask⦠yikes.
I did estimate itā¦the estimated price is in pounds and sean clark did a video dealing with prop store and said thereās a nice sized auction fee attached. I guess weāll see next month!
Hearing Prop store has one of these was a cool surprise. Of course the neck extension was added to hide Durands neck. This is the other stunt mask seen at the end of the film. Both Stunt masks were used from the scene where we see Michael being zipped up in the body bag. Itās interesting to note that while the close ups at the end of the film is the āprop store maskā the mask featured in the few rare promo shots and the poster is the other stunt mask (the one with no extension)

Wow, are you the Ben from Father Phantom Studios? Your H20ās are stunning ā¦
I wanted to ask, do you know if there was a noticeable difference between the H20 hero and stunt masks?
Sorry. I should have been more tactful with my comment. I understand that these movies hit differently for different folks. I think it sort of depends on what the individual was exposed to first, in most instances. I didnāt mean to crap on H20. As far as the mask goes, itās not THAT bad, honestly. Itās no '75 Kirk on Nick Castle, but itās not terrible either.
Thatās my bad for being insensitive. If you like H20 and the mask, who gives a S*** what I or anyone else thinks? You do you.

Well luckily there is people here that enjoy all movies and or masks of the franchise. If someone doesnāt love a specific Halloween film or particular mask I enjoy then so be it. There will be others that do but maybe not in larger amounts. Iām not gonna pout and or let something so simple upset me if others do not agree. Itās simply opinions of Halloween movies and masks and I figured most of us here are grown men.

Full growing man, here.
There is always somebody who loves some specific mask in one single frame of a movie. Especially in this hobby.
Thats a lot of money haha

Sorry Guysā¦I was wrong. It actually IS the hero mask (Darren must of sold it on)
Thank you for the kind words buddy, In comparison to the hero, the Stunt mask didnāt have the neck extension added and overall completely different finishing (in terms of paint and hair and eye cuts) also the overall shape is slightly different probably due to it being pulled out the mold too soon.
Iād cut that stupid neck thing off! haha!
