I originally posted this in the spoiler section, but it did not receive the attention it needs to receive. This featurette video clearly implies that Castle played the mirror scene, closing the trunk, and maybe the rearview mirror shot in the cop car.
Hmm, it’s hard to tell. However, I do feel that it could be Nick when we get that head on shot of Michael after he closes the trunk. Something about the stature of him in that shot feels like Nick.
Thanks for replying! It’s just hard to tell because even Nick himself has said he’s only in one scene. Who knows at this point. Hopefully one day we’ll get confirmation
It was really hard for me to tell even on 2nd viewing but I could see that being him closing the trunk as well. It was confirmed he was looking out the window and no other scenes though. Still a bit bummed we didn’t get the unmasked cameo they talked about
I like to think that the unmasked cameo is the mechanic lying on the ground in his underwear. Last time I said that though someone rudely told me no, even though they know just as good as I do.
There were a few moments in the film where Meyers had the stature of Nick instead of James. Is it possible that when Nick said he only played Myers in one scene he saw a different cut of the movie?
Definitely a possibility. Venom left damn near an hour on the chopping block and I can only assume that there was a lot left out of this as well. The mechanic scene would make see and fits his current stature but I was hoping for a more respectable cameo even if it was brief
It seems like a lot of stuff we heard from production early wasn’t in the movie at all. Lots of stuff that were in the trailers weren’t in finished movie. It’s odd how so much got cut from the time we saw the first trailer to the final cut. What happened to Lonnie? DGG said “he gets his.” That was nowhere to be seen.
To me it seems they butchered the hell out of this movie and got scared after the test screening didn’t go so good.
I don’t know, I’m just hoping that the blu ray has lots of good bonus features. Look at all the short little 2 minute BTS “Features” that are on YouTube though. It sure seems like they filmed a bunch of stuff.
I believe there are going to be many scenes edited out included on a BR. Not to the degree of the H6 Director’s Cut but I just feel there were way too many scenes talker about the got left on the chopping block
That shot of Myers closing the trunk, really looks like Nick’s body type. And when we see that behind the scenes clip of the mirror scene, his body type is what I see in that trunk scene. Same exact stature. If it’s not, then James is crazy identical to Nick when fully costumed.
With that said, I love this movie beyond words. However, I do feel like the movie was cut back quite a bit to keep it closer to a 90 min run time, rather than a two hour run time. This explains why things feel like they are moving along fast.
I feel like there is a two hour long movie in there, and after stripping it back, there’s about 16 minutes of missing film. Film runs at a total of 144 minutes, so I am thinking it may have ran 2 hours roughly, then after cutting it back, we have the 144 min runtime.
One can only hope they give us tons of features. So far any Blumhouse film I have on Blu-ray, has very sparse special features.
For example, Happy Death Day, I was hoping for at the very least a film commentary, but nope, just a short featurette on the movie and a few deleted or alternate scenes. Nothing in depth at all. So don’t get your hopes up unless Shout Factory releases it.
and I really hope that Nick is in more scenes than just that 1 second shot of him in a window and a split second mirrored reflection.
I mean on one hand it’s so cool they’d bring him back to do a scene, but on the other hand that scene was so incredibly fast and with no movement they could’ve just as well have used a mannequin
Just a theory, but maybe we were told of one scene Nick is in for sure, but any other scene he might of done is for us to figure out as part of the “Easter egg” hunt. If that’s true, I would say the closing of the trunk is Nick. I could be wrong and he only has the one mirror scene, but damn if that doesn’t look like Nick’s “shape” so to speak in costume in that scene. Looks just like he does in the behind the scenes clip of him doing the mirror scene.
