how does charging for autographs make you a dick? 
I guess that explains why Dick Warlock recently met up with, and spent two hours with a member here discussing all things Halloween. I guess it would also explain why countless people have had bad experiences with Castle at conventions and stuff.
That’s unpleasant to me that one of the most popular actor in the WHOLE Halloween Franchise is a jerk. I know he might have received thousands of letters from fans wanting autographs and all, but doesn’t he feel humble and thankful for what he did and that we fans appreciate him?! Pretty sad.
When I met my first actor from Halloween, Dick Warlock, it was one of the special times in my life! He was so humble saying “thank you young boy for bringing me the spirit and joy as that same time many years ago when I made that movie. I am honored”…you can believe I felt special that day. He had a warm smile that made me feel like I was officially a member of the Halloween fans. Which makes me sad that Nick Castle refuses to be respectful to SOME fans that have cherished his work in one of the most successful movies in the world history…

I been a Halloween fan since the movie came out first time in theaters. Nick Castle has never ever been a dick to me or anyone I know who has seen him/talked to him. (And I know many Fans)
I guess for those who had a bad encounter with him, sorry to hear that. But in my eyes Nick Castle rocks! He has done so many thing and given me goodies that no other fan has. Thanks to Nick I was able to Hold the very mask used in the movie that HE wore. Dick Warlock is an awesome guy too. But to me charging fans for an autograph to me is kind of a jerk thing to do since thanks to us he is one of many Myers actors who we praise so much, personally I would not charge a cent for autographs if I really cared about fans, but these days its all about making money.

I don’t see anything wrong with charging for an autograph. It’s not like they are regularly acting anymore… Mans gotta make a living.
Yeah, Tony Moran and Ari Lehman are the same way. $20 for autographs.
Though, lemme just say that Ari is a total badass. I could not have asked for him to be any cooler than he was. But that was a different post from a while back so I won’t rehash it here.
Tony Moran was a bit of a jerk when I met him though. Idk, I tried to start a conversation with him like I had with Ari and he just wasn’t having it.
Thats seriously true. He needs some money to feed his family, and since he don’t act anymore, where is he gonna get his money?

And if you get to know DW personally or happen to meet him on the street I think he would be happy to sign an item on spot for free. Keep in mind they need the money to prepare those pics to sign on, the money and hotel fees to get to the cons, and the money needed to rent the venue for the con. The prices tagged to the autographs are not decided by the actor/actresses themselves but by their agency or management company. I’ve met Mark Hamill from SW last year and his autograph was 200 
. The man himself was one the kindest people I’ve ever met. It seemed as if he didn’t know people were paying that much to get a pic and sig from him.

Keep in mind half of the autographs sent through mail for free are often done/signed by the actors agent…
