Haha, I hear ya brotha! I know everyone of us gonna check it out in theaters. Would be cool to see it then for the first time. Part of me is like I want it now! 
I definitely get why people are so eager to see it, but imagine seeing it for the first time on the big screen as Michael coming at you, the payoff is definitely worth the wait.

i just cant see myself doing that. as a huge fan, there’s no way im waiting until im sitting in the theater to see the mask…no way. because at some point they’re gonna release an official image of the mask and for me, thats a huge part of the excitment for this movie. a new halloween movie is coming out this year, which means all year up until the release date, they will be releasing some really cool stuff for fans. what i dont want to see is set photos that are not authorized to be released. because i dont want spoilers. but anything they do release officially i want to see. its only gonna get me even more hyped for this movie. but kudos to you and anyone else who chooses to stay away from any info on the movie, i can definitely respect that.
I’d love to see it for the first time knowing absolutely nothing but as it draws nearer they’ll release an official trailer on YouTube and I know I won’t have the self control to not watch it

Maybe they have a exact replica for a scene in 1978 and another more aged, dirty one for 2018.
Anyone else think the ears look a little pointy? Also, I’m having trouble seeing a chin/mouth on the mask. I know it’s a low res pic, and I’m definitely not judging the mask (yet) but I can’t see it. Anyone else?

It was said by a bunch of people standing by and some of the production guys that were asked by people, that the mask is an exact replica of the original. Which I bet is true. I don’t see why they would use such a close mask in the promos to get us hyped and then deliver something horrible. But not everyone’s opinion on an exact replica is the same so regardless people are gonna have issues.
I can’t wait for this movie, that’s why I rewatched the original today
no way to tell at that resolution. and he’s standing in front of a white house. It’s just blending in.
If anything, given the blurry photo, it seems like it’s not the ear but more like behind it…as if the hairline is really high behind it or something.
With John Carpenter being involved and the director being so passionate about taking this back to it’s original roots. I have no doubts that the mask will be very close to original. The only thing is how they will incorporate were the mask came from 40yrs later.
