Hey guys I’ve been looking at pics of the nightmares and 75ks particularly James carters h1 conversions. So after looking at some of these masks, I was pretty impressed by how a nicely converted nightmare can look. So I was wondering if some of you guys can tell me some of the differences between the two. Or maybe show some pics of the two. I’m still really new at tryin to tell differences on masks but to me a good nightmare is still very accurate to my eyes. Thanks for any info.
Both are great masks made by NAG so they look pretty similar…and of course they’re H1 Myers masks so they’re going to look alike anyway…

The Nightmare has a rounder/fuller face with softer features…75K a thinner face with somewhat more detail
You can’t go wrong with either one, IMO…
i like the 75k better
I notice that the Nightmare typically has a sharper right cheek than the 75k.

I have a preference for the 75K but the Nightmare is also a sweet mask.
There are several different versions of both.
I think the 75K has the old mold, deluxe old mold, new mold, Castle mold, and then you have the '98 Proto mold and the '98 Proto test mold. I think the MMK old mold and new mold are both big re-tools of the 75K.
With the Nightmare you have the classic mold which MMP had (the Nightwatcher), Jack in the Box Masks had that mold/master for a while I think, then WMP’s Nightwatcher, NAG’s first Nightmare, NAG’s Nightmare reshaped (a re-tool), NAG’s Nightmare Unlimited (another re-tool), the Rarer is a big re-tool of the Nightmare, NAG also put out a smaller original mold Nightmare that had no re-sizing or re-tooling and stronger detail.
Also the different sizes make the masks look different.
I think the Nightmare reshape has the strongest Shape/Myers mask vibe of the Nightmares.
Here is a picture of My H1 Nightmare by Feddy Loper. I actually have an H2 nightmare coming from nik late this week as well! I feel that the details are more pronounced on some nightmares… For me it depends on the paint up! The pictures quality is not to good, but it’s all I have atm::

Both are stellar masks. In my opinion, the Nightmare (Reshaped) has the better overall shape and a more natural “Myers” look to it. The 75k has slightly better detail and has Kirk eyes, so that’s a plus when the eyes are cut. If the Nightmare Reshaped had the detail of 75k, I think it would make the ultimate H1. Also, if you’re interested in the origins of both masks… the Nightmare is a recast of a recast of Billy Kirkus’ old Kirk, hence the loss of detail. MMP got a copy from Justin (of NightOwl) and recast it. It then went through several peoples hands before ending up with Nik (of NAG). As for the 75k, it is a retool of a recast of the Don Post '98 prototype, which, itself, is a recast of a real '75 Kirk blank. I hope this helps!

Nightmare is farrr more accurate to the original. Its one of the closest from all the masks Ive seen
