ok at first when i found out when there was going to be another sequel i was really excited. but after i watched the directors cut on dvd i now think that they should let this series go. it ended in such a perfect way imo, eveyone is dead. i think RZ did a fantastic job with his two films. the only exception for a halloween 3 is that RZ would return. he is the 2nd best director of this franchise behind JC of course. i love the franchise but i really dont see where it can go from here. your thoughts?
I think they will wait a few years and Halloween 3D will be a reboot.
My thoughts exactly. H3 if it goes ahead needs to be another re-boot otherwise it will ruin Zombies concept.
Maybe they’ll actually take their time and focus on writing this time.
A Reboot would be silly I think, I dont want to see the story AGAIN, I say just do standalone Myers movies, that have no ties to the previous movies or stories, You guys read Nightdance?? Perfect example.
ask the frickin Weinsteins about that…
Well they didn’t write it…
No but they gave Zombie barely anytime and they gave the H3 guys 8 days to write a script or something silly like that.
Well I would like to see that…Take Halloween back to its roots…The roots that made the movie a classic…A reboot would be great if it’s done right…Hell you could even pick up where the original series left off if its done right…Picking up after zombies could be cool if done right…Basically I think Halloween could go in any direction if its done properly and really cared for…Not just thrown together…Take some time and write something great…Thats how I see it…I love just seeing Michael on the big screen…To see Myers on the big screen with proper writing, directing, etc makes it that much sweeter and I will always look forward to seeing another Halloween…Later guys

my thoughts exactly…one of the things i love going into a new halloween is the theme i loved listening to the different creations…in rz h1 that was unexpected…it hadnt been released til the movie which was really cool didnt see it comin
I respect the Weinsteins for their no nonsense approach, especially with the way a lot of these wishy washy directors and actors can be, but at times its a bit too much. Everyone involved with H2 stated that the Weinsteins pretty much threw a wet rag on the production of the film. In actuality, with all the shit Rob had to put up with its amazing he was able to do as good as he did! thats where his eye for the camera and cinematography came in. Where some of the writing and story was rushed and weak? the camera work, the film look, the sound and KILLS were amazing.
Agreed, according to Rob on the commentary there was a few interesting sequences that got cut for budgetary and time reasons, i forgot which he said they were, but yeah the Weinsteins rushed this thing out to get it out in AUGUST, and coudl have gone for October release which would have afforded them more time to release, instead they helped hurt their own box office by going up against Final Destination 4 which has a BUILT in youth audience. Very dumb and arrogant move on their part. Everyone knew it would hurt their take , but they didnt want to budge.
