Not all the same mask

The mask looks pretty decent in that bottom photo when it isn’t being velcroed. Side note Michael having a closed collar looks kinda weird, he looks better when his collar is popped and open.

I see. So it’s the Velcro that made it look not as good. That explains why the mask in that image looks so much better than it does in H2. I’ve always loved that photo. Maybe it’s partly because the H4 VHS cover was the first image I ever saw of Myers when I was a kid and I thought the mask looked really creepy. That was way before I ever saw any of the films.

Yeah, so that basically proves it’s Dick Warlock. That image looks a lot like the last image in the collage. One reason why I like that image in the collage so much is because of the lighting and shadows. That makes such a huge difference.

I believe the current theory is that the photo in question originated in one of the hallway shoots, being a close up taken for publicity purposes. This theory being because of the similarities in the way the mask is being worn and the lighting hitting it.

No harm but iam sure Tommy lee wallace knows better than anyone on here and as for him having no involvement in h2 he got the chance to direct it u can believe what u want saying that tommy lee wallace did say about the mask being alot thicker in h2 sounds about right going with the interview from Mark Roberts owner of the hero

H2 was directed by Rick Rosenthal.

I am unsure of why you still have skepticism on this. You have been provided ample proof that they are the same masks (with exception of the stunts in very limited scenes), and that more importantly they are the same masks in the scenes that you originally pointed out in your first post.

This is not meant to be shade toward Tommy Lee Wallace at all, but you are incorrect that he knows better than anyone on here. He is going off memory from decades ago, and we are going off of photographs taken in those very moments that will not change. Markings on the mask that stayed the same in images from 1978 all the way to 1981, that link them as being the same mask. These little details that match the two are better proof than anyone’s memory.

Getting the chance to direct H2 is not “having involvement” with H2. I spoke with Tommy personally and he stated he absolutely had nothing to do with H2 or the masks in it and that they (DPS) were not contacted for anything with H1. Re: the thickness, Mark said it was “twice as thick as the original KHDW”, which had varying thicknesses. Hell, even the original kirks had varying thicknesses, so that is no indication of who made what mask or that the hero in H2 was not the hero in H1.

I get asking questions when you are new, especially because I and many others went through that same process, but you are bringing up a theory that died over 20 years ago in the early 2000s. There are ample posts on it as well as a lot of proof from people in this thread who have spent years of time looking at this stuff. I encourage you to do more research on the topic, you will find lots of threads on it here, I’m sure.
