Hey guys…I haven’t posted on here forever…just order the tots Francis head and plan on painting and hollowing it out for light…just wondering if any of you guys have done this and how hard it is to do? Thanks in advance!

I had noticed someone else had done it and it looked nice. May need to get a hot wire foam cutter to get it cleaned out and not make a mess of things or ruin the piece
The foam is soft foam you should be able to just pull out what you need. Just be careful the closer you get to the latex the easier it can be to tear. Also you can use an exacto knife to cut out the eyes and mouth area on the outside of the head.

I simply pulled it out by hand and used an exacto knife for eyes and mouth. I also used it to make somewhat of a guide to keep myself from going too far outward from the center of the neck. I kept about an inch or so on the outside intact to hold shape and what not. Painted it black and red and added some blood inside as well, then repainted and bloodied up the face some more.

Just did one today, was a bit of a pain tearing out all the stuffing inside but totally worth it. Repainted it too.
