OG 78 Shape Masks

So with my rising collection of masks from the H40 timeline, I wanted to buy and repaint an og Myers mask! I was thinking of the TOTS mask, but I don’t know how accurate it is to the screen used mask. I also don’t wanna go overboard with the price, as I do love these masks but not more than around $100. If there’s any other reasonably priced masks based on the og, let me know!

For under a $100 you can buy the TOTS HALLOWEEN THE BOOGEYMAN MICHAEL MYERS Deluxe Mask - looks great as is or rehauled, probably one of the best ones you’ll find for your budget.

Trick or treat studios also sales a captain Kirk mask that can be converted to look just like the original mask

I agree on the Boogeyman for a first time go at it. It’s based of the original Nightowl Psycho sculpt and makes a great mask. If you feel confident enough with eye cuts, you can get the re-released Kirk (now DP 75) and that makes a great H1 and an even better H2. The mask in the middle is my Boogeyman.

Thanks guys! The Boogeyman mask looks pretty good, I’ll look into buying it. I’m assuming for the paint I could literally just strip the old paint and spray paint it? Or do a flesh base, seal that well, then do the white spray paint and rub some away for the bleed through?

There are lots of techniques and I’m in now way a professional. I would use some nightshades paint. You can strip it if you feel comfortable, but it can be a pain to remove tots stock paint. Do a wipe down with ipa to remove and debris, spray a flesh base, and then the white over that. You can spray from above at an angle and strategically leave the flesh tone where you want it. Remove paint in certain areas using ipa or naptha etc. then use washes/dry brushing to detail and achieve the look you want. Take my advice with a grain of salt as I am just a hobbyist.

The TRICK OR TREAT STUDIOS Halloween 4 The Return of Michael Myers Poster Mask is a great budget option. You can easily customize it to create a fierce look. Instead of removing the stock paint, which has its purpose, I suggest using mediums that adhere well and customizing from there. Remember to have fun with it! Many people are too serious about achieving a screen-accurate look—embrace originality and creativity!

I really don’t think its too much to do. Like @Icedgxe said, just a flesh base and white coat should do it, along with some hair reworking. Thankfully this mask doesn’t have much to it!

Would anyone also have a collection or linkage to reference pictures? As I said, I know its straightforward, but just the light wear around the neck or nose could use some help in terms of what I’m going for

Coming back to this archaic thread I made lol, I’ve settled on buying a Boogeyman to lightly rehaul. I’m not actually going for a 78 look, but more of a flashback Kills because I like the cleaner and simpler look with the coarser hair. Would anyone know how the size compares to the 2018? It fits perfectly for me, and I don’t want something so big its ridiculous and constantly moving about.
