Ok... so who here actually likes the RZ films?

Not my least favorite Halloween movies, and I can especially appreciate Zombie’s attempt at doing something new in the second film (which grows on me more every time I see it.) Both films have a WONDERFUL fall atmosphere. It’s also been long enough that I’ve begun to feel nostalgia about the two films. Of course, Rob Zombie’s red neck stuff gets tiring, and all of his new material in the first film pretty much sucks (the remake portion of the film is pretty good, but maybe needless.)

I’m also of the mind that were I allowed to pick and choose scenes between the two cuts of each film, I could come up with something stronger than either theatrical or director’s cut for each one.

I’m mainly just of the opinion that Malcolm McDowell is a great but was unimpressive in H1, granted he was tasked with attempting to replicate a legendary performance. H2 he was altogether insufferable, but that wasn’t his fault.

I don’t think theyre too bad, I like them more than h20 and resurrection. The first time I watched rzh2 I hated it but after watching it a second time it grew on me alot. I try not to compare them to the other movies and just enjoy them for what they are. I think if rz had done basically the same thing but not called it halloween or used michael myers then they would have been fairly well received. It wouldn’t have been anything ground-breaking but decent horror flicks none the less

I actually liked the first Halloween rz did the whole backstory of Myers the second one I enjoyed I just kind of got confused about the whole white horse stuff
