Old Screenshots of this site (2003-2009)

First off I’d like to apologize in advance if this is too off topic but I thought this would be a nice change in what’s normally posted, and it’s just really cool. So I decided this would be a valuable post. I went on the wayback machine and took some screenshots of this site almost 20 years ago. Even though I haven’t been here that long, it still gives me a really nostalgic feeling. The site looks a lot different obviously, and I really dig how it used to look. Let me know if you’d like me to post some more pics of the site.

These shots I don’t remember, I joined back around 2007 originally

I remember the subtopics ‘home, gallery etc.’ being exactly like that with the photos of the mask. This brought back memories!

Man talk about going back in time! I visited the site a couple times during 2008-2009, but never made an account until 2018!

I’m a sucker for nostalgia.

Thx for sharing. Brings back memories. Awesome

Thanks for sharing. That’s when I started to look for Michael Myers stuff on the internet. I was on high school and my English was very bad. I kept visiting the official Halloween Movies website and forum, looking on this site only occasionally. I joined the forum a couple of years ago, when the OHMB forum ceased to exist.

Great post! I always enjoy thinking back to the good old days! Does anyone remember when MM.Net was just the Gallery and you could comment under the masks? Steve Todd’s old page was great and Fruit of the Loomis!

man I remember all of this. I’ve been here awhile even before I joined. this brought back memories of jack in the box masks and boogeyman masks.
truly the good old days of the hobby. the early to mid 2000s. In my opinion anyway

I absolutely do. There was a photo of a 75 kirk that had a towel or something wrapped around the bottom of it and there was a comment that just said “Burr it’s cold!”

This photo lol

This is a nice flashback. Looking at the image of the main forum in 2007…when everyone was getting their DBII masks…I was at Disney with my wife, then girlfriend, and my DBII had to be delivered to my parents house.

I still remember when mine showed up. The unboxing and presentation on that project was unlike anything else in the myers community. Dennis is a class act and I’d love to see him do more. I almost came to an agreement with him to sculpt a h2 book cover mask for me to produce.

Man being a member since 2006 that defiantly brought back some memories. Just the amount of independent mask makers back then and the excitement of a mask maker showing a new sculpt. also the family that we all cared for and loved. the friends that have come and gone. i will always love this site because it was my start in collecting new and amazing masks, and just the thought of receiving a new mask in the mail. the excitement, the smell. it will be with me forever. I might not post a lot these days, but I always come back just to see what’s new. MMNET will always be a big part of my life, and I’m very grateful for being a member. Thank you Michael Myers net!

It certainly is a unique and awesome community. I’m a much newer member in comparison to everyone else here, but I’m really glad I joined a little over a year ago.

Wow, this is pretty close to when I joined. So many old usernames I used to see regularly. I guess everyone is just out living their lives nowadays.
