So I’m pretty new to the forum, I’ve only been registered for about a week or so. In that time researching, I quickly figured out that the widely accepted most screen accurate coveralls are Olivewood Big Macs, which also happen to be super rare apparently. Well, within about a day I came across a pair on eBay for about 50 bucks and snagged them! They are 48r which, is a bit too big for me, but I didn’t wanna miss out on the opportunity. I’m going to see about maybe shrinking them if that doesn’t work I might try and have them tailored to a perfect fit. If there’s anyone out there that wants to trade for a smaller size let me know. But otherwise, im pretty excited to have been able to find a pair so quickly.
Color is spot on perfect. There has been quite a bit of discussion about coveralls. Pocket flap is square and even with pocket. That’s fact, There’s a few brands out there like that, but have snap collars; I and a few others have square flap olive bigmacs with herringbone pattern, but there again, sleeves are buttons and what we see on film are snaps. one thing people debate is the herringbone pattern, several stating they see no pattern on film, therefor saying a smooth cotton/poly. Eh this one is not 100% to me, in low light, grainy pictures, etc the herringbone would be hard to spot, whether it’s there or not. It may not have a pattern, but eh. until we find out the EXACT brand AND style, what you have is perfect. A great pickup indeed!!
Do you still have these coveralls?
I picked up a pair about a month or 2 ago brand new. They to me look accurate as hell. I’m sure with some weathering they will blend in perfectly.
here’s mine
