Which one is this or do you not know? That looks old school.
Thank you. I got this a number of years ago, made this from the ground up, from a blank raw pull I had, did the hair, eye cuts and everything; this and a few others in the same fashion just each painted differently for fun. It definitely is old school considering the construction is DIY, my attempts were without any formal mask making training, just jumping in head first as an artist and going for it. I believe what I started with was a ‘75 Captain Kirk blank copy, not the original version of course. I couldn’t even imagine owning one! Maybe some day!
For being one of the first masks you ever made it’s definitely one of your best ones. I love how subtle the shading around the lips, eyes, and cheekbones complimented with the cleaner looks subtle weathering as well as the little blood splatter. Definitely one of my favorites of yours.
Thank you! I faced some initial obstacles with the project, however as I worked through them, the experience became enjoyable. Soon, the work flowed effortlessly, and I felt fully immersed in the process.
