Opinions on Emmett Kelly Mask

Inform me if this has already been discussed, but if the Emmett Kelly mask was chosen for Myers, would they have altered the mask in a similar way they converted the Kirk mask? Widen the eyes, paint it white and what not. Also, has anyone ever done that to a Kelly mask?

Would the movie be as frightening if they had chosen the Emmett Kelly mask?

The mask would have stayed intact, plus it has been used in a fan film

That’s a good question. I’ve never seen one converted like that, but would be curious to see one. Personally, I’m glad they didn’t go with the Emmett Kelly mask because, despite it connecting to Michael’s clown mask as a kid, and the eery look it had, it just looked too silly for Halloween. Halloween was a dark, creepy, serious horror film, and a clown mask for the killer just doesn’t fit with that in my opinion, it would just stand out like a sore thumb.

I’ve posted these a couple times, but I definitely think it would have been an almost equally terrifying look. Prefer what we got, but it could have been good as well

I think this mask would have been great in a sequel but instead they could paint it white and add some hair to it and keep some of it’s original details

This mask deserves recognition and should have been featured in a Halloween film at least as a cameo appearance to pay homage. Keep your eyes peeled, though—you might just spot it in an upcoming release, if you catch my drift.

That looks awesome love it also love the eyes underneath, and were you the one to paint this badass mask?

I genuinely appreciate your support! Finding a quality version of the original Don Post Emmett Kelly Mask took quite some time, but it was worth every moment. I put my own artistic twist on it with a fresh repaint. And the eyes? They’re a custom insert that I purchased, then crafted and revitalized with a custom paint job. I meticulously assembled the entire mannequin from scratch and gave it my signature touch. The effort and passion I poured into this project shine through! The mannequin is currently rocking a repainted ToTs H2 blood tears mask, I have to throw that RZ mask on there and take some shots.

:+1::+1: I appreciate that. My suggestion is you build one really good mannequin that you could just take the mask off and dress as you see fit, that’s what I do, nothing permanent; this way you can have your cake and eat it too!

It doesn’t seem fitting for some reason. I think the simplicity of the white Kirk mask and the fact it has no canon background (I doubt Michael himself did all the work in the movie) really embodies “The Shape” as opposed to a recognizable figure like Emmett Kelly.

Yeah that’s true but I think it would have been neat if they would have used a painted white Kelly mask with some added Myers hair in one of the old sequels. But nothing tops our Micheal

I definitely think it would’ve been a unique idea, the nose would throw it off for me above all, and with the frown it just conveys too much expression as opposed to the Kirk mask’s emptiness.

I didn’t even think about the nose🤣 maybe they could have removed the nose and added their own to him.

What are your guy’s definitive favorite Micheal masks, mine are 2018, kills, and flashback

Honestly that’d make it even more unsettling! But I’m still happy with the one we got

The age-old saying suggests there’s a perfect match for everyone, much like how Michael Myers, with his hauntingly blank expression, captivates audiences. His eerie demeanor is what makes him such a compelling figure in horror. However, there’s always space for a dash of creativity and imagination, so let’s venture beyond the norm. Just picture it: Michael Myers, the infamous figure of fear, casually perched in a dimly lit garage. The air is thick with the scent of fresh paint as he meticulously spray paints a collection of white masks, each glimmering with potential for his subsequent haunting. It’s a chilling yet oddly humorous sight, imagining him preparing for the unexpected, ready at any moment for some sinister incidentals. The local drugstore had run entirely out of Kirk masks, leaving him with no choice but to settle for the quirky Emmett Kelly clown mask. It was a whimsical choice, with its oversized, painted frown and exaggerated features, bringing an unexpected touch of humor to the occasion. He couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation! He retreats to his cluttered workspace, the faded walls echoing with creativity. Clad in a loose hospital gown that billows slightly with each movement, he immerses himself in his art. A cold beer rests beside him, condensation beading like tiny jewels on the bottle, ready to quench his thirst. The rich, savory aroma of Chinese food wafts through the air, tantalizing his senses as he takes a moment to savor each morsel, the vibrant colors of the dishes mirroring the palette before him. As the paintbrush glides across the canvas, each stroke blends the energy of the moment with the flavors of life, creating a tapestry of expression that feels both intimate and bold.

I love every mask from the Blumhouse trilogy, and the og along with the Zombie masks! I can’t compare any of them, and I wanna get these all in my collection at some point
