Which costume?

Hi gang.

I’m going to a large, outdoor Halloween event this year.

The problem is, I can’t decide what to wear. Obviously I’m going to go as Myers, but I just wanted your opinions on the costume.

I’m trying to think of what the ‘general public’ will find most authentic and recognise best as Myers. I don’t want to use any of my higher end masks, incase it rains, or someone starts yanking the hair etc…

Basically, I’ve narrowed it down to 3 looks. H1 style, H6 style, RZ style.

My personal choice would be H6, as I have always liked that look, but I know what the reaction will be, something like ‘His overalls were not light blue’ ‘His mask didn’t have acne’ etc…

It’s impossible to please everyone, as everyone has a different view of what Myers looks like, depending on the movies they’ve seen and when they saw them.

Anyhow, let me know your thoughts. Here’s the costumes (sorry for the craptacular pics. I took them with my phone):

H1 look: St. Nick, spruce coveralls.




H6 look: CGP H6, weathered Dickies.




RZ look: JITB Torn, Weathered Carhartts.

H6, It would look pretty cool at an outdoor party. On that note, with RZ’s film having been the most recent in theatres, it might be the most recognizable look.

Still be different, go H6!! :laughing:

I think almost everyone will recognize you as Michael Myers if you stick with the H1 look.

As much as I’d like to see you wear an H78, I think your St. Nick looks better than the other two hands down. :wink:

I usually wouldn’t choose H9, but I scrolled down to the pictures, DAMN that costume looks great. Really nice mask, and the coveralls looks sweet.

I say you’re good with whatever you go with.

My choice would be the H6.

But times being what they are these days you will probably get the best reaction from the RZ. Plus those are some really nice coveralls you have there for the RZ. So it would be good to show them off.

I like the H6, but I really thing the RZ will make the best impact. (Yeah I know, no help at all! LOL!)

H6 for sure man. But no matter which one you choose people will always call us Jason :unamused:

Although I like your H6 setup I’d have to say go with either the H1 or H9 look.

The H1 look because that IS Michael…forever and always amen! :mrgreen:

The H9 look because those coveralls are perfect, the mask is good and it is a recent version of Myers so would be “fresh”.

nothing against either H1 or RZ, but imo the H6 mask has the right contours and it’s just spooky at night, especially under heavy lighting.

I wouldn’t go as RZ’s if I were you. Honestly, I can’t stand RZ’s Halloween films. :imp: I almost picked H1 but I went with H6 because everyone else did and that outfit does look creepy at night. People would look like this: :open_mouth: HOLY S :angry: :angry: T!! :laughing:

the way i see it- it depends.

how old are you?
will the party be filled with a younger crowd more or less?
if so, you have to decide- do i want to apease these people- give them something they recognize. be a hit- so to speak?

will you be around other like minded folks like your self? and if you go with the H1, do you want to run into the same 5-10 people all night and have them say- dude, that HALLOWEEN 1 costume rules! which might be cool-

or the H6 mode- which i chose…- (and i dont even like anything that wasnt H1,2 - RZ1,2)
but for the simple fact that it may or may not ultimatley confuse the masses-
meaning- "hey, arent you that guy from that movie??..(RZ’s)(or JC) you kinda look like him?!..
or “look- youre that michael myers guy!!”…

see to me, wearing the 6- your kind of in between what people reckognize- or the masses of people anyway.

they either get and appreciate H1… OR have, in the past years seen the remakes, if you will.

the 6 is perfect cause its kind of a left of center MM.
which can just be weird and fun for those trying to fihure it out.

great 3 costumes though! have fun- and happy halloween!!

People would probably react to the RZ myers more than any other myers at this time. The recent release of RZ H1 and H2 makes that myers fresh in the minds of the general public. I would personally go with the H6 though. I have always liked that look of myers. If I had an H6 that fit me, I would rock that every year.

I’d probably do the Rob Zombie H1 this year. It’s a great costume, and the RZ Halloween is fresh in everybody’s mind. You really can’t go wrong with any of those costumes.
