I recently purchased a 1977 Gordon Novelty CO. INC. distributor catalog which has information you guys may find very interesting. It shows the correct version of original Michael Myers clown mask being available for $21.60 per dozen, it was listed as No. 55/5 ACTION CLOWN FACE. Imported from France. Looks like it was a 3-piece mask as it has moveable mouth and the nose was stapled on. It’s strange we have never seen the correct version of this mask pop up, the closest I have seen is the one that was found by a fellow member that was made in the same style (moveable mouth and nose stapled on).
This is amazing Colby. Thank you so much for sharing, wow. I just can’t imagine the pure excitement that came from flipping through and seeing this image. I won’t hold my breath for one of these masks actually surfacing any time soon, but DAMN is this incredible to finally see it in its catalog image.

So was this one of the versions of the Lou Jacobs mask? which ultimately got used, but I mean the one that Tommy described having hair on it
It’s assumed to be based on Lou, but that’s not confirmed or anything. Just highly likely.

What an AWESOME FIND! I enjoy seeing this type of stuff, very exciting. Hopefully, a copy of one of these masks comes out so every collector can take a closer look. Amazing job Colby!
