Overhauling michael myers mask

Hi, I’m new to Michaelmyers.net and I am right now overhauling a Michael Myers mask that I had bought. I want to give it the Halloween 2 look sense whenever I wear the mask, I give it a sort of warlock stretch and also, I just really like Halloween 2. I want to know what kind of paint brands and colors and materials to use to give it that H2 look, I Am going to be replacing the hair as well.

Welcome! I haven’t done an H2 before, only a ‘78 so far, but I can still give some tips for this stuff in general. As far as paint goes, its best to buy some liquid latex and your choice of acrylic paint, then to mix them together with a bit of water so the paint flexes on the mask without cracking (50/50 ratio is most common, with as much water as you want to thin it). You can do whatever colors you think work, and you either can use an airbrush to apply your flesh base tone and white, or use makeup sponges if you’re on a budget (which I can recommend). Hair-wise, I think people use mohair or crepe, just look on Etsy or Amazon and find what color you want/type of hair, and there’s good tutorials online that show how to glue the hair/style it. I’ll have to let others speak on the weathering areas because I’m not too familiar doing it on the clean masks.

Thank you for the Tip! I’m definitely on a budget. I have seen some people create H2 masks without needing an airbrush. And about the hair, I have looked around online… looking on Etsy, Amazon and some other websites… so, yeah. Thank you for the suggestions and pointers on places to go and where to find things like hair & paint. By the way I am 15 and I love old school horrors of the 30s all the way up to now, especially when it comes to slasher films. I have been a fan of Michael Myers ever sense I was a kid.

began painting process on the mask, turned out really well, though on my next mask in definitely just going to weather the flesh tone a little first instead of adding it on after putting the white paint on it

what it looked like after painting it

after I did the paint I decided to make the white be a bit more weathered and hit some watered down black acrylic and then dapped most of it away so its lightly weathered but not entirely stalk white, after I haired it, I went out and took pictures.
