Hey!
Does anyone have any images of what the screen-used H40 mask looked like on the inside?
I’d like to see how the padding was done and where the velcro was placed on the back.
Thanks in advance!

I have not heard of any padding used…The actor has a medium to large head, and the mask is usually categorized as ‘smallish’…
The velcro is in two places (I think, only one strips residue is shown here) lower neck, just a bit towards the back of the neck.

I do have two photos of how the mask looked on the inside. There was indeed padding. Just wanted to see if there’s any other photos out there.
Why did the mask need padding if it was made using a mould of JJC’s head itself?
Maybe to be worn by the stuntman and Nick Castle and to still have the Courtney “stretch” without him wearing it.
That’s fair. I thought it was a Hero JJC mask. And Airon Armstrong only doubled JJC in one scene anyway (the fall down the steps to the basement).
Where did you find these photos? Are these really of the screen used masks? I’ve never seen the masks and white Velcro they usually use black

The first one is the mask Nick Castle owns.
I don’t know where the other image is from though.

I see the padding strip in that mask, right under the eyecut, they were trying to do the Castle stretch
