Paper Towel Stands!

To me this seems like the ideal, low-budget mask-stand. They cost about $1 each. Any other ideas for a good price?

both ~$100 masks, brand new condition

I’ve got a bunch of these I use:

They’re relatively cheap, work well, and IMO look loads better than a roll of paper towels, especially after I cut those side bits off with some bolt cutters.

Also, my mother loves the hell out of Pringles so I have her save the cans for me and I use them as stands as well. Mix up a little plaster and pour it in the bottom to give them some weight, then spray paint them black, presto…instant stand.

The ones from the Ebay link are what i use and they work great

I too use paper towels, plus they come with their own stuffing! Just crumple up some of the sheets into a plastic bag and you’re good to go!

I use large rum bottles lol

Paper towel stands don’t give the proper amout of support to the mask and will help the mask warp. I use paper towels themselves and add a little stuffing to the top of it and to the sides…works really nice.

I use wooden closet rods 10" tall with the round pine lamp stands from hobby lobby. I countersink a wood screw to put them together.
For stuffing I use pillow stuffing with a 8x6 black felt piece for the eyes.
The stuffing is awesome because you can push on it and it stays where you form it.

I personally like paper towel holders better than anything else I’ve ever used. The trick is to get a Styrofoam ball for the top and use poly fil (the cotton stuff you use in pillows) to stuff the mask properly. It is way better than anything else I’ve found to stuff with as you can fine tune the areas of the mask you want stuffed. Pull off a little wherever you want for the fine tuning, large handfuls for the general stuffing and it’s so soft it does zero damage to your mask.

That’s 2 for pillow stuffing! walmart sells huge bags for $6.

I line the inside of my Myers with a dark pillow case and then stuff with plastic grocery bags (soon will be switching to poly-fill). I leave an opening (bags exposed) at the bottom and stick the rod part of a wooden paper towel holder up into it (almost like putting a head on a stake :open_mouth: ). The bags/poly-fill will bunch up toward the top, keeping a soft barrier between the end of the rod from touching the inside-top of your mask. It will slide on and off the “stand” this way easily too.
