During the painting progress the paint ripped off. I didn’t think it was a big deal so i just painted over it. But now it is annoying me. Will nail polish remover work? Since nail polish remover has acetone but not sure if there are anymore chemicals that will harm my mask.

I’ve stripped masks with acetone and it’s never given me any problems. It can be bad for latex though so you need to limit the exposure by scrubbing small areas and immediately rinsing it off. Repeat that process until the mask is stripped to your liking.

Does naphtha work well? acetone doesn’t seem to work for me? I’ve been scrubbing it but only a little part of the paint came off.
Naphtha would work well but it starts eating away at the latex immediately and if you’re not careful you can easily scrub away detail or worse. It literally melts that shit. It happened to me once when I was trying to fix a tear. I got a little too gung-ho and scrubbed in one spot for too long and now there’s a two or three inch depression on the outside of the cheek that I have to contend with. Also, make sure you wear chemical resistant gloves anytime you mess with acetone, naphtha, or any other kind of strong solvent because that shit is toxic as hell.
