People scammed by Mathias Hemprich.

As some of you may or may not know, a while ago I was scammed on ebay by a guy from Germany called Mathias Hemprich. His ebay id was 'nightmareman something, with some numbers after it and a very high positive feedback score.

At first, I got a message from him saying the mask he bought didn’t turn up (it was an expensive piece). Within hours, he filed a Paypal claim saying the mask didn’t arrive.

I was suspicious, because apart from one pair of overalls going missing thanks to the UK postal service, I have NEVER had an item not arrive. I typed his name into Google, and came up with some info on him trying a similar thing…

So I came here and asked around abit, made a post asking if anyone knew him…

Since then, I have been swamped with PM’s from people all saying the same thing, all getting Paypal claims filed against them, and Paypal always side with the buyer, so he gets his money back and we all end up with no mask, and having a force refund issued.

It’s time this guy was stopped. If he’s done it to you, please speak out here. People who know me on this board will know I am a genuine guy, and this was the final nail in the coffin to stop me collecting. I no longer own any masks, and I dont use ebay or Paypal because the system is corrupt.

Anyway, any info here would be great. Thanks!

He just bought my JC 99 Shatner but after reading up I may just relist it and block this guy from my auctions. What would you guys do? He hasnt responded to my message yet and he can somehow buy from US even though I selected US only for shipping method.
Thanks

Edward

This is the auction he won of mine:

I just canceled my transaction with him and relisted my mask. I said I do not ship to his country and I sent him the post about him ripping other collectors off with the old I never received but I did and now I got money and a mask game. If anyone is interested the 99Shat is back up for sale

He did the same exact thing to me on my 08 Psycho  Made me very leery about shipping overseas.

Yea, I am not shipping one of JC’s masterpieces to Germany don’t worry. I have it re listed and it will hopefully go to a good home. I did do 1 overseas deal and honestly it isnt worth the headache of not knowing where your package is and worrying that he will say he never got it and just keep the mask and the money. I will never ship overseas again rest assured

Hm germany is destroying europs name:P i would pay 475$ for that mask, the problem is that i live in Sweden, and that is overseas:P

HAha, nothing against overseas sales it’s just too risky for my taste. Especially considering if you type his email LeicheRustikal@gmx.de into google the first things that come up are EBAY THIEF + FRAUD!!! :axe:
I would rather turn down the sale and re list which is what I have done   :sunglasses:

I dealt with him but as a buyer and it was a very smooth transaction.

However, I am now left with the strong feeling that I am in possession of stolen goods. The mask I bought from him was quite possibly acquired on his part for free by filing a false claim.

A couple of pieces of general advice for all US sellers when shipping anywhere:

  1. Keep the tracking number and use the online tracking service. The online status will be updated to delivered as soon as the postman hands over the package.

  2. If you want to be extra certain, insist on sending any item with a “signed-for” service, with the recipient obliged to sign for the goods. If the buyer receives, he has to sign and cannot claim he does not have the item.

I quite possibly have your Psycho 08. This is the mask I purchased from M. Hemprich: https://forum.michael-myers.net/t/h1-costume-photos-with-nightowl-psycho/44559/1

I paid him 195 euros (around 240 dollars) for it. If you can prove that this is your mask, you can prove that he recived the mask you sent and thus prove that his claim is false.
PM me. I’m happy to supply you with any information, photos etc. which you need. Maybe we can work this out and you can get your money back.

UPDATE. Mathias has agreed to cancel our transaction and my case is closed. Hope you all figure things out with him and get what it rightfully yours

Edward

He did the same thing to me. Stole my mask and money. If you see a Nightowl One stamp for sale from Germany, it might be mine. Oh yeah his name on ebay is Nightman7878

I had one positive transaction with him a few years ago. Then this past Halloween, I sold him a deluxe Jacko. He claimed it was broken in pieces when he received it. Luckily to protect myself, I offered him insurance prior to the sale and noted I would not be responsible if he chose not to insure (which he didn’t). Now that I’m reading all of these stories, I’m beginning to think the Jacko was never broken at all.

This is a great post, I think we should take it a bit further. Why should this guy get all the attention ? We need a list of ( ALL) suspicious Ebay thief’s that we can update when something like that happens. Just like the list of people that are great to do business with.

Hi folks!

Im so sorry to hear all this have happend to ya folks,it makes me mad and angry :imp: :smiling_imp: :imp: thanks to SCUMBAGS like him pepole now will hesitate to ship overseas to europe, please folks,ALWAYS DEMAND SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY!! always…and tracking of course,

Here in Norway this is very restrictive when its signature on delivery,i have to go to my local postoffice where the pacgae will be held and show UPDATED and VALID ID to get my pacage,it dont help to show a 5year old librarycard,a driverlicense or passport not older than 10years it have to bee to be valid!,and i always opens the pacage at the postoffice so the employee can witness its content, its a great help if anyone send me a bag of peanuts instead of a mask for example!thats a obiously scam and the pacage will be held back and turned over to the police immidealty, this is a good thing for ME,there should be a way that a sender too could claim the pacage opend by a postemployee at the postoffice before its being deliverd,so if anything is broken or obiusly not as stated all parts would have been much more proteced,

I know this shouldnt be so much to get started,if you as a buyer chose to accept the content and take it whit ya its deliverd as stated recording to agreements,if not…you should have have obiusly reasons to decline to accept it handed over,if somthing is broken or its a bag of peanuts instead of a mask, all witnessed by postemployees, that would have been a good thing for both parts and i dont think the postemployees need any expertice to do this service,as i said, obiously reasons and good and clearly statements of the content of pacages would be more than enough to make this alot safer dont ya think?

Thanks folks

I’ve only skimmed through this thread, so forgive me of I’ve missed the info I’m asking for now.

Can anyone please post this guy’s associated EBay user name, or names if he has multiple, so others can block him?

Thanks!

Someone posted it a few comments back but skimming through it wouldn’t catch your eye. I’ll make it large and bold so others don’t miss it. I luckily have never dealt with this guy but a thread like this is a very good thing. His ebay username is Nightman7878

Thanks for the replies and PM’s regarding this, guys. Please post publicly so everyone can see. Mathias is a member here, and I know he is reading this post. No doubt he will come on here claiming these items went missing and he deals honestly etc, but to be honest, that is a load of rubbish. Of course he has some genuine transactions, he just decides to treat himself to a free mask every now and then, by popping in a paypal claim. It’s happened to FAR TOO MANY people for it to be just a coincidence. He is just a thief, and he stole a mask worth around $400 from me. It is awful that people can be like this, just because there is no face to face contact over the internet, and they may feel safe in another country hiding behind their computer screens. The more and more people I see that this has happened too, the more angry I get. Life’s too short to steal and lie, just be a man and STOP ripping people off.

I feel your anger Steve.
It’s guys like these that make us non-English speaking nations look shady. Same thing over here. Being on the other side of the globe certain makers think they can screw us over since we live far away and tend to send bad quality stuff,it’s ridiculous!

Oh and I just found this.

Care to explain Mathias?

Don’t let the Good feed back on ebay fool ya.
He earned that from being a “good seller” not “buyer”
