What has made the value of this so high?
I bought one of these for $$120. $2000.00? It’s not even screen acurate? I have been contemplating wanting to sell mine.
Maybe they are just going crazy ?

Nothing has made the value that high. Anyone can list anything for an outlandish price but that doesn’t mean that’s the value. If multiple copies sold that high than that would mean the value is high. But just listing something at a high price doesn’t mean the value is high.

whenever I see something like that I picture a nagging/bitching Girlfriend or Wife being like, “Why do you need all this stupid sh*t! You need to sell some of this crap!”
And the guy lists it for an insane amount, it doesn’t sell, then he can go, “Baby I tried to sell it, nobody bought it.”

I dig it…but not 4stamp,DB2 or KH dig it…cool mask but wrong price…not the same league as the heavy hitters

Any mask more than $400 is overpriced IMO, and I make my money in the field of sculpture. I get it: time sculpting, research, etc etc. But at the end of the day these are still rubber prints, not a Picasso. Hell lots of these masks are made by someone who bought a mold and a jug of latex and they pull masks and finish them. There’s nothing wrong with that, but they are cashing in on something they didn’t necessarily do the groundwork on. Much of the inflated prices on this stuff comes because because these makers know guys love to get online and have a pissing contest to show off who’s mask is better blah blah. I’m not huge into mask collecting. I’m more into guitars, and the same thing happens in that community. It is how it is. People charge whatever because some guys always come along with a debit card

I appreciate the exposure. However Maybe that is the point:) I’m an artist not a business man. I have been trying to kill the KNIFE WIELDER for nearly 20 years now. I have come close a time or two. I lost my hair in the process. It is what it is. You have a choice. You can pay the price for it or not. In the end it is all just worthless transfer of numbers from one computer to another. I need food. You like that:)
I don’t think you need $2,000 for food, and also, NAGs go for $450, I really think $2,000 is very overkill. And worthless? You’re saying that $2,000 is worthless?
What I’m saying is that $2000. may be worthless depending on what you have to go through to get it.
The moral of the story is anyone can charge anything which is unfortunate. It just seems strange when the knife weilders masks on ebay for sale were $50-$150 and then to $2000.00 it would be like Hyundai selling a car fo $21 K then the next day $200 000. Not that im comparing your stuff to Hyundai.It’s just situations like this that have the potential to hurt the industry of independant mask collecting as a whole.
How is it unfortunate? Should there be a law? Just yesterday I listed a KNIFE WIELDER for $1. This was just before I listed the mask in question for $2000. Ford sells a mustang. However they also sell a Shelby mustang. Are they the same? The moral of the story is that No two KNIFE WIELDERs are the same. The reason for the price which I shouldn’t have to explain is that I don’t want to sell the mask. This particular mask is a grail so to say. I have a lot of time into this mask. This is my personal mask which I use as a reference to convert the masks that come from this mold. The KNIFE WIELDER is a 100% ORIGINAL SCULPT which makes it much more challenging to dial in on the accuracy. This mask helps me to convert in less time which helps me to keep the prices down. Basicly you are getting bent out of shape over ADVERTISEMENT. IF I were selling recasts of other peoples work like the majority of the people here. Would that be more MORAL? Would that be more of a help to the potential of independent mask collecting? Maybe I should start so that I can gain every ones approval eh!

Sell whatever you want for whatever you want, I’m all for Capitalism, it’s been the best system created so far. But showing up and talking shit just makes you look petty.
