Hey Guys!
Been a while since I posted in here last (couple months at this point), but I have some cool things to share with you all. A couple weekends ago was CT Horrorfest, and a few cast members from the Original Halloween came to celebrate the 45th anniversary before heading to Pasadena for H45! I ended up getting to meet everyone who came, and let me tell you, peoples posts about meeting them do absolutely NO justice to just how nice and sweet they all are!
The first person I met was Mr. Castle on day one, cause I wanted to beat the lines that inevitably did form to meet him, and let me say; is is the nicest, sweetest, and most engaging person I’ve ever got to have a lovely conversation with! Despite the line, he asked me questions about my Myers cosplay (how long I’ve been doing it, things he liked about it). I wish I could remember it exactly but the whole interaction was a blur, cause I was star struck. I ended up getting my mask signed by him, and look a lovely photo with him (he had the idea to hold the mask as I hold my knife in a stabbing motion).
Meeting John Michael Graham was also amazing! I met him later on in the day, and he had a shorter line at that point, but he was just as kind and sweet as Castle! It was so amazing getting to meet him and talk about how cool it is to see fans remember him and enjoy talking to him about a film he did 45 years ago!
On day two, I met Ms. Loomis and Ms. Soles. They were both wonderful wonderful people to talk to! PJ was incredibly kind and it was an honor getting to meet her! Nancy was also super super sweet, and talked about Halloween III briefly, and why I found Halloween special as a film (it boiling down to being the original, setting precedents for the genre down the road).
All in all, it was incredible getting to meet those who made this franchise and characters so memorable and enjoyable, I just wish I could remember it all in more detail, it was such a blur getting to meet them all, cause again… starstuck.
Of course, I also went in costume as my 78’ Myers, and took a bunch of photos with others, but stupidly didn’t take many myself. So the following photos are the few that I did, or ones people sent to me after the fact.
I also attended the Halloween cast panel hosted in the afternoon of the first day, and will come back in the comments, and transcribe everything said (that I caught) during it! It may be a day or so, but I will do my best to get it done ASAP!
