i have a screen used prop book from rz halloween … im going to monstermania this weekend and malcolm will be there … should i have this book signed or keep it the way it is
if I WERE to get it signed, I’d have him sign it as Sam Loomis, not Malcolm McDowell…that way, it holds a bit of “realism”, but it’s still an autograph you can brag about with a cool story behind it
and if you do get it signed that way, get it signed on the inside of the book cover, like most authors do…
Better for you then. Since the cover is fused to the book you dont need to mess with him signing the “cover” inside or out he can sign the first page. I hope your going to get scout to sign it as well. That is If its that cherry hill nj thing your going to. Either way it should be cool meeting the good doctor lol
I, personally, have just really outgrown getting my masks or props signed by celebrities. when I first got into the hobby, I’d get masks signed by the actors who portrayed the character, but as of lately, I feel it actually lessens the value of the mask and I can’t fully explain why. (especially on the outside). While I understand that isn’t always the case, that’s my opinion on it. I also feel big autographs on the OUTSIDE of a mask or prop really looks tacky and takes away from the replica, itself. When observing art, you are admiring the art for it’s beauty and what it depicts rather than the artist’s signature or trademark, ya know?
I suppose the reason I’d want Loomis’ autograph is because the item in question is a book. I wouldn’t take a Myers mask to Tyler Mane and have him sign it as “Michael Myers”…that’d just be dumb. But because it’s an actual book “prop”, to take the realism one step further, having the “fictional” author’s sig on it would look kinda cool imo.
