Preview of the ToTS Poster Knife

I just…don’t understand why they made this? The curve on the knife is too extreme, it seems very small, very cheap, way too shiny…If you look at the '78 poster, the knife is larger, thicker, and less curved. I don’t even know what you would use this for…it wouldn’t fit well at all with a costume…maybe you can display it? Overall just a seemingly pointless item.

I’m also one who likes the 78 knife to look like this

How in the hell is that supposed to be the poster knife??
The bend is far too exaggerated.

Well as far as the Lamson style knife, for 20 dollars I think it’s going to work out just fine. I prefer the knife to have that reflective appearance. When you scuff it up a bit, it will take on a more natural look while retaining that ability to glint in the light. And no, it’s not out of the ordinary to have a knife that is that shiny or reflective. They definitely exist.

Again, it’s 20 dollars and is the right size and shape for a Lamson replica. 20 dollars. You won’t hear me complaining.

As for the Poster knife, it’s meant for display. Yes, it seems a slight bit more exaggerated than the actual poster image, but for display next to a pumpkin? Works for me. Or you can throw on your Silver Shamrock Pumpkin mask and walk around with the poster knife for the full effect lol.

It’s a Case 102-12 style, but artsy

Oh yeah you know what, now I remember this being discovered a couple years back on here! I had totally forgotten that the true identity of the original knife had been uncovered!

The good ol’ WR Case and Sons, located just about a 2 1/2 hour drive away from where I live. Can’t believe I had forgotten about that!

Here let me fix my statement: The WR Case 102-12 style replica for 20 dollars works for me! Lol

The knives look great :myers: ,
All they need is weathering so they dont look new and shiny. All you need is some black spray-paint.
Heres some before and after of what you can do with $4 from the dollar store
wall 1 (2).jpg
This knife was brand new and shiny, All I did was mist on gloss black spraypaint.
Hold the can a little close, get some spots and dots of black then let that dry overnight.
Then I lightly scuffed off 50-65% of the paint with steel wool, finally some clear-coat to keep the
weathered dirty look and some shine for pictures
