Okay,I have a question that I have been wanting to ask for quite a while now.I’m not sure if someone has already asked this is the past,but bare with me.Okay,at the end of H2,Laurie shoots Michael Myers in both eyes…right?So obviousely he can’t see.So whats with him magically being able to see in Halloween 4-8?LOL Did he get eye surgery or something??If someone is willing to give a decent explanation,give it a shot

Well, it would be hard to continue making sequels of a slasher movie if the slasher was blind.
I wish I could tell you that there was some hidden story line, scene or moment you missed, that would explain the unbelievable phenomena that is “Michael Myers being able to see from 4-8” The sad reality? Hollywood’s stupid, pathetic, bone headed, holy grail of crap ideas to bring an obviously dead character at the end of two back to life.
Although Halloween 4 was a valid attempt to restart the Michael Myers character, Director Dominique Othenin-Girard put a quick end to that dream with a little film called Halloween 5.
Only in Hollywood can you make 3 movies, and then say… "Oh!!! Wait wait wait wait… pretend we didn’t make those, “pat on the back” ok there chum? Thanks!
What pathetic excuses for professional filmmakers. For me (and for a lot of us) although I will acknowledge, not “all” of us… but for a lot of us, the series ended after Halloween 2. Burn baby burn.
So to answer your question, there isn’t one… there is no reason whats-so-ever… they’re just hoping you forgot about that, or even better, assume it’s part of the paranormal, supernatural “ness” that is Michael Myers… crap I say… crap!
well the only explination i could come up with would be when he was in the coma for 10 years
they treated all of his wounds and they gave him an eye transplant. i know that sounds stupid but
thats all i could come up with.
I see things this way: Laurie didn’t shoot Michael right in the eyeballs. She shot him twice close to the eyes (perhaps right above them), and the blood that gushed out from those wounds obstructed Michael’s vision. Then it’s plausible that when he survived the explosion in the hospital, those wounds healed over the ten year period between H2 and H4.
Check out this screencap from Halloween II, his eyes are still open and blood is running down across the eyes (ie he’s not shot in the eyes):
I think your right…Because I just watched Halloween 2 and it looked like his eyes were open…I mean,I split my head open last week,and it was gushing blood.The blood ran over my eyes and i couldnt see a thing LMAO.
i agree about the head shots not directly in the eye shots, however 1 & 2 stand alone as the pure haloween, the one night of terror, the others will never amount
i think where laurie was sitting and shot him she could have possibly shot above his eyes,but then it would have gone in his brain but then again he can never ever ever ever ever ever ever die!

Well…I guess it cant compare with the great films Canada puts out . So its safe to assume you feel the same way about Terminator 2…& 3… NMOES 2 3 4 5 6 …Jason 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 & countless many other sequels. See your problem is that you enjoying reading what you write too much…(me too) but its safe to say you werent thinking this as you sat & crunched on your buttered popcorn minutes after paying 10 bucks to see these. Only after you decided you didnt like the movie did you then say …“ahhh to hell with this” & screw “Hollywood” …So with a name like"movieman" bring out your best original & watch the money roll in & then ignore that itch when the money comes in & the demand starts to be sent to your Canadian PO box for a sequel. What will you say …“Oh darn it to hell i killed this man who cant be killed anyway so i cant bring him back” …Well not knowing you but going off you magical post its safe to assume you would say something like that.

That’s a valid question. As my answer, I’ll combine what i said,

i doubt the “virginal” and innocent laurie strode would have ever used a gun before, so i also doubt she could’ve shot a man that was coming at her point blank in both eyes while cowering on the floor in fear. The bullets grazed him, so there were no holes left in the mask. And since Michael prefers to use extra-durable latex for his masks, this didn’t cause damage to the mask either.
laurie’s a good shot though! imagine what she could’ve done had she had some firearms training. She would’ve blown his f*ckin head off; no need for Loomis to set off any kind of explosion.
Im pretty sure the intent was to give the illusion that michael was shot in the eyes.
1: it looked good, was easy to do and it worked.
2: they would of had to spend money they didnt have and time that wasnt there to create a dummy head to blow up. And they couldnt use a squib on his head…that would just be stupid.
and why did they seem to forget this in the sequels? because the sequels made lots of MONEY!!! MONEY!!

I’ll give ya the not shooting out the eyes, (That’s what happened and that’s what the FX artist tried to pull off rather effectively to I might add.) but they both could not survive the explosion. Both Myers and Loomis would have been BLOWN apart. Either way, Myers and Loomis are dead.
no doubt it was portrayed that michael was shot in both eyes as it was carpenters intension of ending the series.
but when it came time for H4, eh anything can miraculously happen.
