I just had a couple of questions:
I’m assuming that the original mold was destroyed at some point, but who actually sculpted the original 1975 Kirk mask?
Has this person (or people) made any attempts at sculpting it again once the mask gained popularity?
Just curious.

William “Bill” Malone sculpted the 1975 Kirk mold, members in the Michael-Myers.net community call it '75 Kirk because that was the year the mold was sculpted but members in the TheHMA.net community call it ‘76 Kirk because that was the year it was released and it appeared in the 1976 Don Post Studios catalogue. As far as I know, he never attempted sculpting it again. I was told that he gave the William Shatner life cast he used to make the Captain Kirk to Sam McCain who used it to make his first Myers mask back in 1981. Sam’s 1981 Myers masks’ face (sculpt-wise) was accurate to the original in my opinion but the ears weren’t accurate (the life cast didn’t have the ears, of course) so I could believe that. Bill Malone appeared in the Hollywood Treasure last year where the sitcom crew visited his house and I saw a life cast of William Shatner hanging on one of his walls… Probably a reproduction, though. I would like to see him to make another attempt at making our beloved Captain Kirk.
Very informative, thanks for that!!
This is an old thread, but has this man tried to sculpt this ever again?
that would have been amazing
