Quick ToTS 1978 Knife Rehaul

This rehaul only took like 3 minutes tops, but I think it improves the overall design of the knife.

Nice work. Looks good and worn/weathered. Could use some fine steel wool (just go lightly) if you want to go a step further give it that scuffed up look, break up the paint/shine a little.

I would hope so, don’t want to wreck your props, its a pain in the ass to repaint if you mess up both the handle and the blade, especiallly if you dont use a delicate painters tape when masking off painted areas, as normal masking tape, even regular painters tape will peel off clear coat and ruin your work . Speaking from experience smh. But this lesson could save you a future headache, so i figured id just put it out there.

Knifes looking great :+1:

And You’re Welcome! :clinking_beer_mugs: :jack_o_lantern: :kitchen_knife:

Hi! Do remember what paints you used? I got a 78 tots knife and I wanna make it look better, but I can’t find any definitive paints to use.

Thanks!

All I used was some sandpaper to get rid of the shine and applied some black shoe polish.

If I were to redo it today, I would sand it down like I did before, but I’d use some watered down brown and black acrylic paints instead of the shoe polish.
