I always thought that Ray looked way older than Karen in H18. And I’m still confused by his age?
It’s implied in H18 and HK that Ray and Lonnie Elam were friends in school and hung out together. But in H1 Lonnie is in 6th grade, aged 12ish. Now at this time, Laurie’s daughter Karen is not even born in 1978.
Karen was born approximately when Laurie was in her early 20s. So that would mean that Ray is about 15-17 years older than Karen, and only 5 years or so younger than Laurie herself.
I often thought this is why Ray looks a lot older than Karen in H18 and he looks older than what Tommy Doyle did in HK.
This is one I’ve been scratching my head about. and as much as I love Judy Greer, I feel like she is looking more like Laurie’s Younger Sister than Daughter, but that’s just my observational Opinion, not a complaint.
9 years apart I think. He was born 66. She was born 75. It’s not out of the ordinary as you say, just weird they made this couple have such a big age gap.
Also Karen and Ray meeting Camron for the first time is kinda off for me as well. I’m pretty sure that in the small town of Haddonfield, Ray would have at least seen/knew who Cameron was. Considering he went to school with his Dad and they seem to be the local family that gets in trouble.
That’s exactly it. The little things. The writers have no eye for detail. Things fans think about, they didn’t even give it a glance once. That is part of the reason why both of these movies suck and are a let down.
Don’t know about that man. Not like the age gap is pulling you out of the movie or anything. I don’t think many people thought about it and when they did it wasn’t anything crazy.
